Stikmon - Oh, the chocolate thing, how could I forget how much I love chocolate. It is the source of much discussion among my buddies. They bribed me to give it up, but I told them I only would if they would give up their coffee - needless to say I haven't given it up!

I used to spend summers in Upper Michigan, around Negaunee and Ishpeming. Some kids we met one summer took us to the ice caverns which don't melt all summer.

Does anyone know where this is. I don't know how to get back there?

Indiana John, I think you are referring to the Rock River Canyon Wilderness around Munising.

Tarabull, I live about 2 hours north of Ann Arbor which is a good launch to the wilds of the north.

I really like how everyone likes this thread and it gives them a nice feeling.

I really like how I hadn't realized how big Birch and Sass' daughter was getting until I read that she shouts "Daddy" when Birch comes home. (Do you guys need tons of barely used, cute little girly clothes?)

I really like how it used to take 3 hrs. to do payroll (on Quickbooks) for a small # of employees and now I can slam it out in about 10 mins.

Smiley, last night he kept telling these really corny astronomy jokes and cracking himself up. It was hilarious watching him. Hey, when you find out what textbook you need let me know. Maybe, just maybe, it will be the same copy as the one I have. If so, I'll mail you mine. Free textbooks . . . now wouldn't that make the world a better place?!?

I really like how generous the people on this board are. I have recieved a stove & thermarest from Griz, a tent from Om, and 2 Nalgenes from LeSubtil, plus SnowNymph let me borrow a pack and Evergreen is sending me one I can keep. That makes a person feel good.

I really like my friend Smadar. She is Israeli and a devoted Jew, she had to serve 2 yrs. in the Israeli army, and she has been witness to 2 suicide bombings that killed her friends, but last night I got an e-mail from her that said she still harbors no hate for Palestians (sp?). She is a good human being and that makes a person feel really good.
