OK, let me think, it has to be something really good. Something to make a good impression.

Oh, I can't take the pressure! Let me think about this some more....

It's a tiny little gift to me.

Oh, Chief's was so good. Here's mine:

“A computer terminal is not some clunky old television with a typewriter in front of it. It is an interface where the mind and body can connect with the universe and move bits of it about.”
-- Douglas Adams
(Fitting, wouldn't you say.)

Also, this one:

i like my body when it is with your
body. It is so quite new a thing.
Muscles better and nerves more.
i like your body. i like what it does,
i like its hows. i like to feel the spine
of your body and its bones, and the trembling
-firm-smooth ness and which i will
again and again and again
kiss, i like kissing this and that of you,
i like, slowly stroking the, shocking fuzz
of your electric fur, and what-is-it comes
over parting flesh . . . . And eyes big love-crumbs,
and possibly i like the thrill
of under me you so quite new

--e.e. cummings

It was drizzling and mysterious at the beginning of our journey. I could see that it was going to be one big saga of the mist. "Whooee!" yelled Dean. "Here we go!" And he hunched over the wheel and gunned her; he was back in his element, everybody could see that. We were all delighted, we all realized we were leaving confusion and nonsense behind and performing our one and noble function of the time, MOVE.

So I was walking naked in the woods with a great bear of a you-know-what, when all the sudden the night struck me like a wet sack of mice right in the eye! The stars, the moon, the inky blackness that sends them to fiery relief - these things all at once filled my very soul. I knew right then and there that I could do what most appealed to me. I could be that man in the '77 opel with the bowlers shoes and the baggy pants. That schtick was formerly taken by the gregarious troll-hound known as Marvin Gardens, but here I am, right? I'm the survivor, not him. I live on, while he rots in obscurity. I am one with the forest, with the trail, with the trailtalkers.

Anyway, I know it's not comprehensible to all of you, but those of you that DO understand, well let me just say one word:

Stingray.

Older woman:No one stares at a woman alone...

Younger woman:I think I'm going to get married so I NEVER have to eat out again.

OK, I get to go backpacking this weekend, yahoo! up to Mt Jefferson Wilderness for two nights Sat and Sunday because I'm skipping out of work Monday morning because I worked so hard last Monday. Even got a victim, er, companion to come with this time. Should be great.

BTW - many great posts, I loved the poems especially!
