John Muir

“I am from Tennessee and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the John Muir Trail that goes along the Hiwasse River. I was wonderin about how long it would take, and things like that. Would highly appreciate any advice.”

“I don't know anything about that section of trail first hand but a couple of weeks ago I was looking for info on the John Muir trail in Big South Fork and pulled alot of info on the Hiawassi River section. Just do a Google search on "John Muir trail Tennessee". You'll get volumes. The Gorp stuff is good. There're other websites that I hadn't heard of before that were good, personal sites with trip reports. Tennessee Trails Association was helpful. The Sierra Club website had John Muir's entire journal online so you could read it, I don't know if they still do.
