I'm leaving
I'm up early 'cause I'm excited. On my way to High Uintas for 6 days of alpine bliss, going to watch the meteor shower from 5 star accomidations(my tent),I'm going to fish my head off,I'm going to maybe see some mooses, I'm going to have a great last night dinner with my buds,I probably will even lose a few pounds. I'm the luckiest girl in THE WORLD! The best part is because we are sharing costs it only going to cost 160 bucks(dinner included)! Backpacking is the hobby of the wise.

I'm BACK!
So ,I had a swell time! Dropped off my two buds at the Highline trailhead and drove for two hours around the the High Uintas Wilderness Area ,through open range, dodging cattle and admiring the hunky cowboys till I arrived at Moon Lake(elev. 8,200).I camped for the night near the dam and I waited till dark then walked out on the dam for a WOW veiw of the sky . You know when you get a cresent moon and that one star to it's lower left (Jupiter?)-yea -I saw that-way cool! I was rewarded with several earthgrazers from the Perseids meteor shower firing by. Next morning I packed and headed up the Atwine Lake(elev.10,150) trail. The day was a 8 1/2hour upward bound haul on a trail of rocks and more rocks, after a while I just started walking on them instead of around them. Reached the lake in time to make camp and get out the ol' fishing rod. Threw in and Bam! hooked a 10 inch brook ,I guess he was waiting on me to get there. This trip was my first true solo and ultralight method. So, I crawled into my bag I had tucked back up under my tyvek tarp and went to sleep to the sounds of a stiff wind blowing down from East Basin Pass. Next morning I woke up early to fish while the light was still low. No trouble hooking my breakfast that I promptly cut into chunks to fit in my small little pan, fried up crisp and served with a side of Uncle Ben's left over from the night before-Yum Yum. Packed up and headed for the next lake up the trail that goes by the name of Clements. After some serious huffing and puffing I laid eyes on a fair sized lake. This lake had been damed before the High Uintas had become established an offical wilderness area in 1984. Now for the test-I spied a smaller lake on the map called Stewart that looked prime for trouts ,but I wasn't sure how smart I would be to forego a trail for some crosscountry ,compass thrashing -alone. You guess it I went for it . I noticed on the map how the dam made a nice straight line that pointed right at the lake-off I went SE tree to tree till I spotted water I'd hit the lake smack in the middle. Yea baby that was fun. Spent the night and half of the next day there exploring and taking pics and of course fishing. Hooked a big daddy but I couldn't land him 'cause I broke off one of the treble hooks and he was long gone. About 1 o'clock I packed my stuff and headed back out to Clements without using the compass (over confident!). I was lucky to hit the lake but I was way down from where I had intended to be. It took me another 10 min. to walk to the dam.Lesson learned. I had read there was a really great veiw from East Basin Pass so I decided to slack pack up and back. Tough climb but the rush I got when I cleared the trees...the beautiful panoramic vista of The High Uintas was so breathtaking I let out a great big Ohio hillbilly yell! Then I noticed almost at the same time three guys leading three lamas up the trecherous trail coming up from the basin.I snapped a series of west-north-east pictures and quickly got out of the way before I caused them lamas to fall off that skinny tiny trail. That was my last picture so I didn't get the one of the guys and lamas with that veiw in the background-but I've it got in my memory forever. A fast trip back down, grabbed my pack and took off for lower altitude. I was making good time and thought maybe I would be drinking a cold rootbeer out of the cooler before nightfall when all at once the trail just disappered! I backtracked for a good 30 minites to a meadow I knew for sure to could ID on the map and took off rockhopping down the trail again just to come to the same spot-no trail? By this time I was nearly out of water and it was quickly getting dark, and I had about two inches of water in my bottle-I had to keep going I had no choice. It was compass time again-I saw a creek that went east to west and I was traveling south and I had read that all the creeks and lakes drained into Moon Lake. I was a little freaked but reasonably calm and soon found the creek and the best camp spot yet. The little creek showed off a pretty little falls tumbling down to a freezing cold pool. I said out loud "I'm home for the night,I'll worry about being lost tomorrow". After I snugged down in my bag I got map out again and could see if this was Duck Creek the trail should be on the other side just behind that big hill. Or was it? I couldn't stand the suspense so I got up pulled my boots on.By the way my left boot was wrapped in duct tape because I kept catching it on those @#$% rocks til it started flapping,I hate it when you gotta give up a comfy pair of boots, anyway I went to go look before it got totally dark. On way I saw something hanging in a fork of a little tree. On closer examination it turned out to be a cows tail, complete with bloody stub-YUK! Oh yea, the trail was right I left it. So back to bag and up fresh in the morning for a relaxing hike down, down, down to romantic Moon Lake and that cold rootbeer. AHHHH. MY SUMMER VACTATION- BY WOLFSISTER

GL, I haven't done that yet I usually just scan mine in. If bitpusher or Snownymph is around they can help.

It might be as easy as creating a folder and transfering the contents of the disc to that folder.
