Sept and Oct ECT trips

“Can I ask a big favor???

Can you all post the trips for September and October that are in the ECT area??

I need to start making arrangements to take some weekends off and get the heck on the trail..
Im also wanting to do a week long trip sometime in late September..Let me know of you all's trips..thanks a bunch”

“Perhaps you've already thought of this? Find a place halfway in between to meet on the weekends. That way you're only 350 miles apart which is a much more manageable weekend drive.

G00SE and I used the Smokies. It was halfway in between us and we could go backpacking together. Plus we both love them. It was perfect for us. I'm sure you two will be able to find someplace that's perfect for you.”

“If you want a great weekend with lots of other hikers - come to the Gathering - it's in Athens West Virginia (Concord College) the weekend after Columbus Day. Three days of workshops, slideshows, music, etc. All long distance hiking related. Learn about the AT, the PCT, the CDT, the IAT, hiking in Europe, Australia, etc. See www.aldha.org for details. And if you want to go hiking too, the AT at Pearisburg is not far a way.”
