So, does anybody want to go hiking?

“But i have most of the fall free, besides the state fair. So if any body is free, i'd enjoy a trip within a reasonable distance from here, minnesota, wisconsin, eastern dakotah's or maybe even the up of michigan. any time this fall that anybody wants to do anything, let me know, and i'll figure something out, as long as i have about a week's notice, i can get off work and pack.

I'm thinking of doing parts of the ice age trail... if not a big chunk, more of the superior hiking trail, i might want to hit isle royale, along with anything else anybody wants.

“Simer, supposed to be on vacation week of 8-15 with possibility of through the 17. I'll know the prognosis of work by sometime next week. Am planning on Isle Royale and could email you the itinerary if you are interested. Also, since the logistics on the Isle have been complicated, I may be up for a different hike. Saw something regarding Trap hills on backpacker.com today. Know anything about it?”

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Things have been a little crazy at Kmart the last few days. Here’s my current plan:

Sunday 9/8 – drive to Copper Harbor
Monday 9/10 – ferry to Rock Harbor
Monday through Friday 9/10-9/13, hike Rock Harbor to the Minong Ridge Trail to Windigo
Saturday – ferry to Rock Harbor
Sunday – day hike or something
Monday – ferry to Copper Harbor

I should be at McCargo Cove by Wednesday at the latest and noticed that the WI ferry travels on Wednesday. We could hook up there??”

9/4 - drive to grand portage
9/5 - ferry to windigo
9/5 - 9/9 - hike greenstone ridge to rock harbor, meet dhutch

9/9 - 9/13 - hike minong ridge to windigo

9/14 - ferry back to grand portage
9/15 drive home
9/17 - back to work”
