Catskills/Western Mass. Day Hikes

“I'm looking for a good day hike this weekend in the Catskills or Mass. other than Wittenburg, Slide, Cornell, and Mt. Greylock. Any suggestions? Possibly another interesting peak in the Catskills? Thanks.”

“Hunter Mountain is a good dayhike for the Catskills. It's the second tallest in the 'Skills at 4040'. If you want something pretty chilled out, the hike to Echo Lake is a good easy route that's pretty tranquil, that's another good one.

I'd give you directions to both, but I don't have my maps with me and I'm heading out of town right from work today. :-(”

I got the name Artex because it was pretty much the first thing that came to mind when I registered on TT a few years back. It's the name of Atrayu's horse in the movie "The Neverending Story". I know, I know.. pretty lame.
