“It is kind of nice to hold a discussion without it degrading within four posts into a lime green jello thread. I also feel that Backpacker.com’s editorial staff does a much better job of weeding out the more hateful, disrespectful posts. IMHO Matt is akin to an absentee father who would rather let the kids run the house than put his foot down and demand his rules be followed. He’d rather be a “nice guy” and have free speech that fosters hate and disrespect than be considered an actual administrator that requires posters show respect on his private site. It's all about the hits m'man.

Actually most of the folks over there are great people (it’s the riff raff that Matt allows to spew hate and disrespect that I hate) and I miss them, but I refuse to post there as long as hateful threads such as Death to America and Death to Israel remain. “Never met the guy, I just know him from his posts. I hope he doesn't think he is better than anyone of us. One could possible conceive that notion from reading his posts, not that I fully do because everyone here for the most part has his/hers own individual wit, sarcasm and Clavin-esque answers or opinions or whatever on certain matters and many a time that is hard to see through and understand especially if you let it get too you.

I don't believe that this site is full of the 'hatred' he may have perceived. It would take alot for me to get 'my panties in a bind' enough to chase me away for such a trivial site as this. There is more to life than 'hackin' all day with some complete strangers but its the activity here, the hits m'man and some of the people here that make this site head and shoulders above the other and the only reason I return to it.

I don't post as much, and read and contribute only too those threads that INTEREST me. Its not rocket science!
