Okay, I was wondering - At one point there was a Pocketair and a pocketair signed up, and then niether.

Too bad you won't be coming with us Pocketair, but congrats on the job

I'll send emails out after the honeymoon! If anyone has questions, e-mail me. We're leaving March 13th, so do it before then (back March 23rd late). I'll be offline for 10 days. Sorry, I've been so busy I haven't given this much thought. snownymph@socal.rr.com

Oh fer cryin out loud !! I'm gettin' tired of this BS trying to import stuff into Canada. That mug is gonna cost me $32 (or $39 if it's made outside the US like in Taiwan or something) including shipping.

Last week it was a $150 US jacket that would have been $340 Cdn if I didn't drive to Seattle..... Geez !!

Can I talk someone into getting an extra one for me?

I suppose we could buy one for you and then mail it to you. That would be a lot cheaper.

Let me know!

Mug = $12
S&H = $7
Convert to Cdn = $28.50
Add BC Taxes = $32.65
Up to 20% duty = $39+

Being Canadian = Priceless ;-)

Perhaps if you could get an extra one for me, I'll get it from you when I see you.

Maybe one of you net savy individuals should throw up a web page detailing these trips for those of us to lazy to check the original posts...I'm thinking of pulling my own permits and meeting up with the group(s) somewhere along the way...I'd commit to the hike, but I'm anti social and had a really bad hiking experience with a guy that used to post on here...I think his name was pantscandy(Who would pick a name like that...I should have known) :) At any rate, it'd be fun to meet some of you...even those from Coalinga and Porterville :)

Windwalker - Nice artwork. Only the truly tasteful bears would dare bother you now.

Regarding the mugs, the easiest way to get them within the US is to just order them on-line. The price is practically at cost.

$10 for the permit
Tx...it's a grand total of 66 cents each if everyone that is signed up goes. Unless they got 2 permits then it would be $1.32.

Just bring him a candy bar or something and give it to him four days into the trip....eh Navi?

mosquiiiiiiiitos
i'm tinkering with gear for this summer & need to know - are there any biting buggies that i need to worry about BESIDES mosquitos?

and BTW, turns out i will be over near Cottonwood Pass for the 4th of July weekend, so i just have to figure out how i'm getting from there over to Crescent Meadows on Monday the 7th!

Have you thought of getting a helicopter to get you to Crescent Meadows?

Cottonwood to Cresent in 3 days?

Oh! and the only other thing that bites would be bears. But I'm sure you know about them. And the moss-key-toes aren't too bad either.

i'm number 900
or am i a 900 number?

alas, it is complicated, as all things are when shuttling the baby & husband around as well. i will probably have to go all the way back to Chino and get my doubtlessly unemployed brother to drive me back up to Crescent. what a long night that will be...
