Talked with Navi today who had just picked up Trekkngirl fr/airport! Says it will take them about 6 hrs. I figured us about 6 1/2. We're leaving at 11:00 fr/Stockton.

“all packed up - well, of course i've forgotten something or other. feels like a ton of bricks, i'm such a pansy. i head up to my parents' house tomorrow, watch fireworks, celebrate hubby's 30th on saturday, then drive all night to Sequoia. and i have so much work to do here before i leave, why am i posting on the internet?”

“Ladyhiker and I went to the airport this morning to pick up aussie while Hodgeman and bigPoppa headed to Stockton to rendezvous with the others. We wasted several minutes looking for aussie (Hodge had told us she is blond). After Ladyhiker approached several blonds and was rebuffed I went up to the brown-haired girl with a backpack we had seen right at the start and found that she was indeed aussie.

We drove to Stockton and, in spite of a little misdirection from Mapquest, were able to find Hikerchick's house where Hodge, bigPoppa, jvz, and Rockman were standing around waiting for us. Hodge had run out of cokes and switched to hard lemonade. Everyone there agreed that by no stretch of the imagination was aussie a blond.

Man, it was hard to not hop into that truck. I'm sure there was plenty of food along that I wouldn't have gone hungry. I might have gotten a little cold, though.

So now we can forget the Sierrapalooza thread for a week. Very soon they will be out of cyber-touch.”
