Wonderland sounds good to me, but I'm going to have to work on moving a little faster for that one.

Phil - blue foam pads are for sitting around the fire, not inflatable thermarests :)

Hodgeman-

Wingding has quite an eye for seeing beauty for what it is and putting it in photos.

Subconscious or not, I think it's a look inside of what she thinks about where she is and what she sees.

And the great thing is, there's more to come!! 8) What a deal.

Thanks for the guestbook entry too. It was a kick when I saw that. 8P

Ya know, I think hiking and healing are inversely proportional. When you hike, hike, hike, the sunburn comes, blisters, chapped lips, and maybe a few aches could slow you down. And you're ready for the barn with the rest of the farm animals. Then as you heal and rest, you get that hunger again. And I bet you know exactly what I'm talking about.

And the itch is back. Isn't Wonderland 90+ miles? And in the Pacific North Wet?

What a GREAT trip!!! My feet are still not touching the ground! Great group of hikers, views to remember for a lifetime, limits pushed, laughing around the campfire until my sides hurt, and most of all... new friends!!

Navi - Did I remember to tell you "Thanks"??!! ;-)

Pepperdog - Is your electronic equipment working yet??? Thanks again for letting me take over your kitchen!

JVZ - Don't EVEN touch the dark chocolate!

Thickenergy - Head freeze from milkshakes!

Hodge - Had a fun road trip down. Thanks for the ride! Great life story from lady at rest stop! I still owe you a scenic tour on 101... Yes... that was your corkscrew.

Tarbubblebaby - Gatorade snowcones on top of Kawea Pass!! yummmmmm

BigPoppa - Note to self - Pack more Tai Noodles to barter... (Book for your girls - Do Princesses Wear Hiking Boots? by Carmela LaVigna Coyle)

Phil - Thanks for entertaining me at dinner time!

Trekkngirl - My arm is still sore from patting myself on the back after Sawtooth Gap, is yours?

Tommy - I could not have been responsible for ALL of those teenie little incidents"! ;-)

Aussie - Glad you showed up at the airport before I asked yet another "blonde" if she was you! (Hodge... What does a brunette look like up North?)

Hikerchic5 - I don't really snore, do I????

Rockman - GRRRRRRRRRRR (I owe you one!! or two or three.. I never get mad..)

According to "THE KAWEAH COMMONWEALTH", ..."In 1932 as part of the construction of the High Sierra Trail, a steel suspension bridge was erected by the Park Service from one side of the chasm to the other, hovering hundreds of feet above the gorge.
Being located in an avalanche chute determined the fate of this bridge. In the winter of 1937, an avalanche swept the bridge nearly 1,000 feet down to the edge of upper Hamilton Lake. The concrete foundations and some remnants of steel are all that remain of this first attempt at a crossing. Today, hikers maneuver cliffside through a tunnel painstakingly blasted from solid rock by the CCC. It was completed in the summer of 1938."

Fritz: I meant to get that one in! I was really tired when last night and missed it. I'll go through the album again and put it in. It was a good one! Thanks for the reminder. I also have to get Ladyhiker in there. Trying to avoid a "Part 5" so I'll have to delete.

WingDing: YES! We're doing Langley this weekend. I hope we can go up Old Army Pass. We'll let you know how it is.

I think it is a disgrace we didn't get to spend more time with the 5 day group.I have looked at your's and Snow Nymph's pictures so much that I really wanted to spend some time you and all the others so much.I don't know if I will ever come out that way again,I feel at lost for not getting to really know you guys.... :~ )

This is why TT is special....
The fact that the people here get together and actually do trips together, not just within their own states, but traveling across the country to hike together.

Absolutely beautiful pictures, all of them (it takes quite awhile to see them on dial up, couple days actually). I really wish work would have allowed me the time to join you on this adventure, perhaps next time.

Thanks again for sharing your Pict's with those of us that couldn't make it, it's not as good as going, but it helps.

I come up with the idea.

I assemble everything (with a little help from my friends).

Everyone gets a shower.

And I dropped the ball because there is no picture of it!?!

There is no justice!!

Maryphyl - How are you? You should have come along on this one! You probably noticed how much better I look without a sling around my broken arm?? LOL Maybe a trip into the canyon this fall/early winter?

Navi - I love it when you say "Dang Kids" to me!! Keep it up!!! Whippersnappers anyway... And the shower with the setting sun... Thank goodness NO one had a camera handy!!

And how can anyone possibly describe all the different pitches of snoring at Redwood Meadow?? Maybe those big trees brought out the harmony of it all?
