Didn't find my stuff, but I got pics this time!
I normally don't do the same trail more than once/year. Two weeks ago I lost a baggie (with my maps, permit and notes from Wind Rivers) near McGee Pass. My ankle was sore by the time I realized the baggie was gone, and I ended up hiking down 7 miles in Tevas. I went back this weekend to retrieve my "litter". I didn't find it, but its wierd, my ankles were sore again. Not like 2 weeks ago, but really uncomfortable. When we did the Abbot climb last weekend the ankles were fine. This weekend I was feeling it again. BUT, I got pics of the dayhike that didn't turn out from 2 weeks ago!

Again nice pictures. Sorry to hear you didn't find your stuff. Weird things about joints, when I think the hike/backpack was a little tough my knees felt OK. Sometimes it's just good to take a few days off for rest. Sometimes consistincy is what it takes.

Kudos to SN...again! Sitting here at work getting my high Sierras fix for the day. How am I ever gonna be able to wait until next year to go back out there?

Come out in for the Sept or Oct weekender? October will be 4 days for some.

Wasatch, you're close. You can come too.

I'm sorely tempted SN! I'm not sure I could keep up with you guys though. A lot would depend on how high you were going to climb.

Sol,

WLD and I would make sure no one gets left behind. This is a big group and won't be a death march.

Snow Nymph, first you lose your maps, notes, etc and this trip your lens cap. You keep this up, you're going to need all new gear. ;-)

Glad you had a good time! Great photos. Hope the ankle heals quickly.

SN
What is the date and where are you going? If I flew in could I catch a ride? What airport would be best?

See the TT Sierra Trip thread. I'm only there for the weekend, but some are there for 4 days (Fri-Mon). I think its Oct 25-28? I only know of LAX, but others were mentioned. WLD is getting the permits, so he needs to be contacted

Nice photos! Too bad about not finding your stuff. Some marmot is probably enjoying them now! Hope your ankle recovers soon.

Snow Nymph,

I would love to, but I used up all my leave for the year. Next year is another story though. Probably late spring/early summer.
