Joe Graham's conditionView MessagesViewing posts 1 to 8 of 8 messages posted.
Slight improvement “Joe Graham is the young man who suffered a head injury similar to Colin Fletcher's. He remains in a coma, but has been making slight improvement, according to u-reg, his father. Joe has made movements with his hands, stroking his head and such. Keep Joe in your thoughts or prayers, shout his name from mountaintops, and visit the other board to post messages of encouragement. The thread is on the Trailhead Register part of that board. Thanks.” 7:39:34 AM 8/27/02 “Moving this back up to the top!” 8:39:05 AM 8/28/02 “really sad, i hope he continues to improve.” 8:40:53 AM 8/28/02 “Yes, his step-dad has been a regular over there for about three years, now. He's a real pistol. You'd love him bacpac; he's one of those guys who flames me for not being Liberal eNough. It's a really sad situation. Things don't look good, but one MUST keep hope alive.” 8:50:16 AM 8/28/02 “u-reg reads the posts on that thread every few days and responds. We can all send messages of support, hope, or just let him know we are thinking of Joe or shouted his name from a mountaintop somewhere special. Thanks.” 8:59:30 AM 8/28/02 “And thank You for spreading the word, GB.” 9:08:38 AM 8/28/02 Good news? “u-reg posted this earlier today on the other board. I just had to share it with everybody here: "Today Joe is being transferred to Pacific Medical Center-Davies Campus in San Francisco. It is a higher level of rehab. He has had his trach removed. He is beginning to nod yes to some questions, although inconsistent it is a new movement and response. We feel he is about to move into the "Agitation" stage on the Glasgow Coma Scale. He vocalizes a loud laugh/cry response to some stimulation. He inadvertantly bit his Mom yesterday. His grip is like when you shake someones hand and they squeeze too hard. The Agitation stage is a further step towards self awareness, kind of like "What has happened to me or Get this stuff away from me". He is taking the next in a long series of steps. Thank you for the encouragement and continuing offers of support..... " Let's keep shouting his name, sending messages and prayers, and pulling for this young man fighting for his life.” 10:54:01 AM 8/28/02 “That's great news!” 10:56:34 AM 8/28/02
