Did you ever . . .
out of the clear blue sky, get a phone call from a person that you thought was long dead and buried in your past and almost vomit when you heard that person's voice? I just got one of those phone calls. The certain someone acted like "heya', cool, how's things" and I was all, "Bummer! I was sure that I told you to -f- off forever ago." You are sorta' cornered. You don't want to seem like you are holding on to the past and being petty, but you aren't really up for being best chums and shooting the breeze. Bizarro! And calling me at work too . . . yeck . . . I can't wait for quiting time.

I think that's long distance...
How did you know the call was from Hell? Do you have caller ID, or did you *69 them and they were like, "Hello, Satan?"

Well, you guys made me laugh about it anyway. At least I didn't have to run into the person on the street or something. You are right WLD, I should have just said it like it is, but I was sorta' shocked. I said it like it is once before and I thought the message was clear then.

Yes!
Run as fast as you can! Not too long ago, a boyfriend from high school started calling me at home. The first time I talked to him for a bit and asked him not to call me again. Then next coupla times I asked him politely not to call me anymore, and both times had to say "DON'T MAKE ME BE RUDE AND HANG UP ON YOU" and then I hung up on him. For weeks after he had long conversations with my answering machine. Really freaky stuff. I had the phone company take my street address off my listing in the book.

Never mind how you seem, just be a rude #&%!$ and tell him to get lost! (that is if you want to, lol...)

Probably best to cut and run Newgirl-

Gotta Do What It Takes!!!
Like a puppy that follows you down the sidewalk... You can talk nice to it and tell it to "Go home." as many times as you want and it'll still continue. But to truely get it to stop following you, as hard as it may be to do it, you need to yell and be rude in order for it to turn away and stop following.

Oh yeah Twig, I do. And actually this person is not an ex-bf, but they are a person I would rather not ever have contact w/ again.

My family seems to attract stalkers- I've had one, my older brother had one, my younger brother's had two, and my sister's had three. One of hers was the scariest- He told her he was a cop, they went out for a while, turns out he didn't have a job at all and was living with his Grandma. (He was 28 at the time) When she threatened him with an order of protection, his mother came to my sis's place and said that if my sis went to the cops, she herself would have to keep an eye on my sister... Creepy.

Geez, Corporal, you and the fam. have had some serious stalker probs.
newgirl

8/28/02

Yep. We've even had a case when two of our stalkers have showed up at the same time, stalking two different family members- They hit it off, actually, and from then on, I truly believe they joined forces to become the nation's most efficient stalking team.

Bizarre! This "stalker" isn't that serious of an issue, but all the same, I would rather not deal w/ it.
newgirl

It's definitely best to confront it, in my experience. It's hard not to be polite when they call, since you don't want to seem like a jerk or whatever, but the longer they think it's okay to call you at work, etc. the more they seem to think they have some sort of relationship w/you. I've had to be less than polite when it came to my own stalker and all of my sis's, but it takes care of the problem. I haven't seen your other stalker post here yet, although I don't think my advice would work over the internet, sorry :)

Bacpac, I already said it once. That's what I was shocked about. That I have freaked on this person once before and it was almost 3 yrs. ago. I'm not afraid. I know that I am not in danger. I just don't want to deal w/ the retarded bullcrap.

You should have hung up the phone as soon as you realized who it was.

Instead you let the guilt of blasting this guy three years ago get in the way of honesty. Now he thinks there is a chance.

You fine young thang!
I thought we had a wonderful time dancing under the stormy sky at Ouzel lk. Granted you were sound asleep and rather limp in my arms but you hung in there like a true trooper. I've heard of bedroom eyes but tent eyes are even better. OMG!! Caio Bella!!! Till we meet again! And now I get the cold shoulder over the phone! I'm amazed I was able to reach you with the six digits I got off you. Mohahahahaha!

Was it lover boy from across the 'great pond' or some other lumberyard jockey that came calling again?

About three weeks ago I was in bed asleep and my ex just opens up the front door and walks in looking for my son. Luckily I was wearing a T-shirt because I jumped out of bed to see who it was. I told her he wasn't there and she wanted to look around. He's 23 years old and lives with his girlfriend in Montreal. I have another story about my ex in the same genre, but the bell just run. I'll be back. BTW the divorce was finalised in 1992.

Crazy Mike, you know what a huge A$$ Whooper I am. I totally would have kicked his a$$ if I saw him on the street.

Briar, you lovely boy, you crack me up. Tent eyes! LOL!

And, finally, Lyra, I so totally apologize from the bottom of my heart for not corning you. I hope you'll accept my apology.

Seriously though, this person (okay, a guy) is someone I never dated, we never had a fling thing, he never tried to hit on me, nothing like that. He just tried to get me involved in a bizarro situation and I was freaked out. I told him what I thought and to stay the -f- away from me and mine. Unfortunately, we grew up in the same small town and he's around every once in awhile. He found out I was working at the mill apparently and thought he would call. I have no clue, maybe this was a stupid thing from his past and everything is peachy now. I'll repeat again though, I am not scared and am in no danger. It's mainly just annoying.
