The cast is full leg plaster (Doc said no fiberglass for me!) to immobilize everything. I hate it after three days; by the time the six weeks is up I will be chewing horseshoes and spitting out nails.

The pain has been minimal, thank God for that. Most of the pain was associated with getting the ankle back into place. The cast feels like concrete and weighs somewhere short of six tons. I think it may even be lead lined. If I get radiated, only my right leg will survive!”
