Geobeet,
He who walks in beauty has no need of fear,
The sun, the moon and the stars keep pace with him,
Invisible hands restore the ruined year, And time grows beautifully dim.

Take care and get well soon,

Signing a crack? EWWWWWWWWWWW! I recall when Tom Arnold was in my neck of the woods for the RAGBRAI bike ride, he bartended in the area and was signing women's boobs.

BUT I DRAW THE LINE AT SIGNING THE CRACK!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEW!! (oh I said that already ;-)

There once was a hiker named Geobeet
Who was quite light on his Geo-feet
But he slipped on a rock
And his ankle got caught
So now, he's stuck in his Geo-seat

Get well soon!

At the moment I am in a boot, but when Tuesday rolls around my leg will be in both upper and lower. Then in six weeks, just lower. After that it will be castaway.

That was Cpl. Nasty, who can walk on rocks but not flat ground. I can walk on flat ground, dry rocks, and dry logs, but not wet rocks and wet logs.

I can also walk through bogs, although I take a few pounds/gallons/cubic yards home with me, but not right now, thanks. I'd need crutches with pontoons on the end for that.

'Course, some people just ride across on their Bearicades.

Different for sure, nothing like it was
a bit of a rush, but it lacked the buzz
ass over tea-kettle, a half gainer, with a back-flip
time now to reflect a bit clearer on your latest trip
old horse not yet out to pasture, but for a time put up in a stall
not what spring is to summer, but you`ll have to winter out your fall
better you had you mishap on the way to the outhouse and not it the moment, with a full moon
you gota go, when you gota go, oh, and watch out for slippery rocks, hope you get well soon

Too bad there was no one there to hold up score-cards...

"I gave him an 8.9; he was 'on plane' and had nice tight revolutions but over-rotated a little and didn't quite stick the landing."

<GRIN>

Better luck next time, Dood. My ankle is back to about 95% (but it took a little while). It was one of those sprains 'that might have been better as a break' you sometimes hear about.

Dang, Leaf. We used to call him 'Hoppy'. He owned a restaurant in my home town called the 'Silver Saddle'. When I was a kid, my folks used to take me there when they had a spare buck or two. I have his autograph somewhere.

Back to the Salt Mine
Back in the ol orifice today, much to my chagrin. I'm supposed to be in the office Mondays and Fridays and work from home the rest of the week.

Thanks for all the kind and funny notes. You guys and gals are a trip.

The cast is full leg plaster (Doc said no fiberglass for me!) to immobilize everything. I hate it after three days; by the time the six weeks is up I will be chewing horseshoes and spitting out nails.

The pain has been minimal, thank God for that. Most of the pain was associated with getting the ankle back into place. The cast feels like concrete and weighs somewhere short of six tons. I think it may even be lead lined. If I get radiated, only my right leg will survive!
