“w/ the Emigrant trail in Utah ? I want to wander 'round the desert from the TH on UT state hwy 276, East of Halls Crossing, towards Nokai Dome & Lake Powell beyond, then back thru Mikes or Castle Creek Canyon (if possible). Going last of December, first of January for 5 days or so. If snow comes am I @ risk of damaging my beautiful self from slips on redrock slopes ? Even w/out snow, is iceing (sp ?) common ? I got skinny on a water source in NW corner of Lake Canyon, & relaible water further South & East in Mikes & Castle Creek Canyons, T or F ? Hows access off Nokai Dome to Mike or Castle Creek ? Are these 2 simple walk outs, no climbing off a serious (technical) nature. Any scrambles ? Iceing is my biggest concern here. Slickrock can be tricky enough w/out it.” 2:46:14 PM 9/01/02
