DOM road trip

“In case some of you hadn't noticed I was out for two weeks. Me and Mrs Dirty went out to nevada and visited our daughter and grandson.

We took Amtrack up to chicago using their online specials to save about 500. and flew to reno from there. While we were in chicago we visited a friend and got a chance to stop in at north face downtown. (awesome store)

Maybe Im just used to having all the trees around here in Pa but I cant see why anyone would want to live in nevada... I suppose a beach lover might have enjoyed the sand lot my daughter lives in but I found the scenery a bit bleak. the weather was nice except for the brief sandstorm while we were there and we stopped by the casinos to unload the excess weight in my wallet for amusement.

All in all it was a nice trip and good to see everyone. Hope you all had a nice two weeks inspite of the fact that no one noticed that I was gone :P”

Oh yeah, I stopped in at the North Face store on Michigan Avenue. I dunno, it wasn't as cool as I expected it to be, what with everything else on that street. Also, WHERE WAS THEIR BARGAIN AREA?? Gimme a bargain area!!!

(I obviously have been to toooooooooo many Bargain Caves at Cabela's!!! And even then, 90% of the bargains SUCK! moooooooohahaha)”

“There used to be a North Face Outlet in Berkeley. It was a good place to get stuff that North Face made under other brand names. It was a lot cheaper. I bought several family sleeping bags there.”

yes i did miss the bargin bins but I just couldnt help drooling on all the stuff in there. I even saw a -50 bag that I had no use for but still wanted :)”
