Flashing banner adView MessagesViewing posts 1 to 10 of 10 messages posted.
“Anyone know how to block that flashing banner ad at the the top of the screen? It's an extreme eyesore and I can't even scroll down to get rid of it while the initial page is opening. I have Pop-Up Stopper but it doesn't stop this sucker. Funny thing, I just had to "upgrade" my version of Pop-Up Stopper after a firewall glitch last week and never saw flashing ads before. Wish I could get the old version back.” 4:26:24 PM 9/04/02 “I wonder if Matt has insurance to cover the retinal damage that thing causes?” 4:27:33 PM 9/04/02 “If you click on the "Stop" button after the page finishes downloading, usually the flashing ads stop flashing.” 4:47:29 PM 9/04/02 “a pox upon that ad. nay, a pox and a half!” 2:18:33 PM 9/05/02 “That goddam flashing ad is back. Sure, you can stop it by clicking the stop button, but by that time you've already sustained retinal damage. Somebody send them a trojan pleze.” 7:21:57 PM 10/03/02 “just get Norton Internet Security. The firewall has add blocking built in. It takes away all those banner adds, but unfortunatly it doesn't kill pop-ups.” 11:05:37 AM 10/04/02 “yep steve hiker, it is almost to the point that I will have to wear sunglasses when I log onto TT....” 11:12:22 AM 10/04/02 “Hey, ... I'm a winner! Woohoo!” 11:13:50 AM 10/04/02 “Turn off javascript in your browser and the popups will go away. Just hope the site will still work without javascript.” 12:37:02 PM 10/04/02 “Ah Steve you beat me to it. I was about to post a thread on that GD banner. I post from work and that damn flashing banner is like an alarm going off. HEY LOOK EVERYONE JOHN IS ON TT AGAIN!!” 12:40:03 PM 10/04/02
