“Am I the only one that sees and hear people hawking for money in light of the up coming a-day of 9/11

i mean NY will be getting a new Govenor this Nov. And I am so sick and tired of hearing about what you did before, during, and after 9/11. Give me a friggin break!
That has nothing to do with your campaign (sp).
also im real tird of hearing and recv'ing mail about your company needing money post 9/11. What the hell does the WWF have to do with 9/11. I was here and i helped out getting food and finding homes for the animals that were lost on 9/11. There were no Tigers here in NY! So why do you need money?

Here in NJ, we have a choice between an incumbent Senator who was just reprimanded by the Senate ethics committee and one who ran ads in the primary that basically exploited people’s fears after 9-11. I found myself yelling at the radio like some kind of idiot. Not a real easy choice.

The History channel was really blitzing the airwaves hawking their ‘Year of 9-11’ special all weekend. Pissed me off too.

Not long after the attacks, I got an email from a gear retailer asking people to contribute to various charities attached to their sale ad. I wrote them to tell them that while I thought the request for donations was a nice thing for them to do, commercializing it with their ad was in poor taste. They wrote back to say that they would consider that in the future but offered no apology.”

There are Memorial Day sales, Pearl Harbor Day sales (fit conveniently into the Christmas shopping season of course) and sales on every other day we mark on the calendar. Why would 9/11 be any different?

Memorial Day is particularly vexing. It's so picnic and sale oriented nobody is away of the fact it's the day when we honor those who died in war. Their sacrifice has long been marginalized. If we can dismiss them, then we apparently can dismiss anything.”
