Replying to a post.... how to?

“I am an avid camper and day hiker,,,, but, this backpacking thing is new to me. I have just about got my Lowe Alpine 90-15 "house" packed and ready for fall hikes. I would like to know how to reply to posts here on this BB.
There are some very interesting threads that I would like to reply to and be involved in.

“Yes, Lyra, this format is very different from other boards I have visited. And, by the looks of some of the responses like violin, I can see why folks only visit once then move on. I shall watch from a distance for a while to see if it is only a few jerks that spoil it for the newcomers.
