Im trying to figure out a place to hike the weekend of the 20th of this month..

I was considering the Savage Gulf area..Been looking at the Collins Gulf Trail...Since Im going by myself I needed to do a loop..
If anyone has hiked this trail Id appreciate any info..especially about water availability..Or maybe you have a better suggestions..

This time of year, water is pretty much underground along the Collins Gulf trail, evergreen. The trek from Greeter Falls to Savage Station is pretty good along that route, I did it just before Christmas last year. It had been raining for 5 days straight. Collins Creek was a rushing torrent and the falls were all spectacular. If I wasn't taking my state real estate exam that weekend, I'd like to go with ya. I'll probably do it again this December or January.
