Haven't seen one before
Over the weekend, someone gave me an Eveready LED headlamp.

It has two white light bulbs and one red light (for night vision). The lens is shaped is such a way as to focus the two white lights into a "spot light".

I compared it to my petzl in a dark room and it definately had more of a "spot light" effect. The red light gives out plenty enough light to see at dark without dimming night vision.

I still need to test this thing under field conditions before I can say how much I like it though. It has three batteries and is a little heavier (it seems, I haven't weighed it) than the petzl.

Has anyone seen one of these lights? I think my benefactor probably boosted it from a distribution warehouse here in Memphis. I haven't seen any in the stores and the packaging was in English and Spanish.

I don't think I've ever seen one, but I haven't really been looking either, since I got my Aurora. I have seen red LED headlamps though, they are good to help you keep your night vision.

I haven't seen one but that sure is good news. My kids love flashlights and covet my Tikka but I just can't justify a $30 toy that they're are likely to lose or break. When I told my five-year-old that they are too expensive, she said to get her a Barbie one. If Eveready makes them cheaply enough, I'll take two.

I still can't find it anywhere on the net. It must be a new product that hasn't hit the market yet.

But I did find an interesting site in regard to lighter batteries for a headlamp .

Violin: Just get them a couple of those cheapy single bulb led lights at Costco. I think they're $7 and have an on/off switch.

I wonder do those come in AAA size yet? The website specifically mentions AA size. I'm pretty sure my Aurora takes AAA.

I bought one a while back at Academy Sports in Birmingham. Academy is a sporting goods store in the SE. I haven't weighed it. I believe it had 3 AAA batteries. I have used it on one trip and it worked pretty good. It was around $20.00

The everready LED light is at TARGET...it's excately how chili described it..it's 14.99..the light head also pivots up and down..it's light and has a comfortable band similar to the tikka The combined focused white lights are neat and kinda surprised me in how much they spotlight. The red is direct but more "spread"...very nice light

Couldn't find it at target.com under "headlamp" or "eveready". What department were they in - camping?

So it is just one more light on the market!

I should not buy anymore gear I just don't need it.

they are in the isle that they have nothing but flashlights and flashing keychains and colored led lights. Another thing i noticed in last nights power outage...it has a flat padded back..the light can rest flat on a table edge and the light can pivot 180 and point straight at the floor...i compared it with the petzl last night...the petzl will be going into permanent retirement..this new light kicks all kinda @$$...the spotlight is what makes it the winner..it's a tad heavier..but when you can put a defined circle of bright white light around your truck from 50 feet away...wow

I picked up two of these for my kids and scored some 'cool dad' points. I think the tight beam might make it less useful for general camp chores. It pivots like the Princeton Tec Aurora but lacks a screw to tighten it down. Whether that means it won't loosen up with time or they just left that out, time will tell. It does have a lifetime warrantee that includes your shipping. Not a bad light for $15 but I still like the Tikka better.

Oh, the red lamp option is a very cool feature. I may carry it on my next trip along with the Tikka so I can compare them.
