Tired of POP-UPs ??? Try THIS !

“For those of you that can't stand one more pop-up window while you're surfing the web, there's relief...go to www.panicware.com and download the FREE version of Pop-up Stopper (under the DOWNLOAD tab at the top of the page). It only takes a few minutes but you MUST restart your computer upon installation. I did it about 6 months ago (version 2.2) and it made a big difference but lately I'd noticed that I was getting more and more pop-ups, especially on some of my most frequently visited sites. I went back this morning and downloaded the newest version (version 2.9) and it works like a charm! So far, not one pop-up in the last hour. There were some sites I was ready to stop going to simply because I couldn't stand the pop-ups any more.

This is completely FREE and I've never gotten any junk mail from them. I have seen this product raved about in many PC magazines and Q&A tech columns. However, this won't stop that blasted blinking neon flashing sign at the top of THIS page, but, it should stop most of the pop-ups on other sites. Sgt.Rock's site drove me NUTS with all the pop-ups !!!! Hopefully, this will help most of us.”

“I tried this a while ago. It sort of worked. Then, a couple of day ago I installed Earthlink's Pop-up Zapper. It seems to work better. You can actually designate various sites as zapped or not with a simple toggle on a list. Also, it doesn't accumulate the stopped windows on the bar at the bottom.”

“strat - One of the reasons I installed it was because of a porn site I ACCIDENTALLY ran across. The pop-ups were so bad I had to reboot my computer. With Earthlink Pop-up Blocker I get no more pop-ups, but can allow them from a site if I want to.”
