I have perfected dehydrated beer
I have been experimenting with dehydrating beer...this is a direct outflow from my dehydrated water tests. boil the beer down so that there is nothing but the residue in the pan...scrape pan (carefully, you don't want pan in the powder) then rehydrate with the appropriate amount of water...viola`...instant beer.

Sin Is A Beer
I'll bet a microbrew beer sold in a pouch would be good, but I'd pour my own beer into one to carry. Loss of carbonation, chance of contamination, etc. ya know.

Lemme Try That Again
That's "I wouldn't pour my own beer into one."

Sounds like they'd be good for drinking while driving to the trailhead.

I wonder how much compression they can stand up to? Its a great idea, but I don't think they will be going in the bottom of my pack!! Hey, how big were those, the picture made them look alot bigger than 12 ounces.

Would love to have a beer on the trail. But it would have to be a cold beer. But between me and Father Goose we have no problem taking care of the bar tending duties. Wait until you taste John's "Indian Creek Cider." Named after the creek that it was invented on the OHT in Ark.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm...Beer! (in a Homer Simpson voice)
I use to bring oil cans of Fosters but when I'd taste it I wished I'd've brought beter tasting beer with me. Then I switched to either Bush or Bud because they make 22oz cans. I made sure I brought cans so they'd squish down and pack out smaller/easier.

But now, when I bring beer, it is good kickbutt tasting bottled beer. After all, what's more important, having beer with a packable container or beer that you enjoy drinking?
