We'll be there as planned. Sauron however has a nasty cough, so he'll be staying home this weekend.

skullcap, if you don't head up to old orchard shelter until saturday morning, make sure you stop at the shelter and read the register. if the weather dictates we stay at/near either the wise or thomas knob shelters instead of right in rhododendrun gap, we will leave a note. same goes for any other saturday morning arrivals.

i have a 6 hour drive so i'm out of here soon (by 08:00)

Kinda, it was more like a sleety/hail/freezing rain type of snow. Very slippery in the morn, and thick frost in most places.

Pennsy, It dawned on me as I passed 16 and 81 that I was supposed to give you a ride. I am truely sorry dude, and feel pretty bad about it. Did you get to your car OK? Next time, we'll split a bottle of vino for your trouble.

Not a prob BB. Baume took good care of me, but I'll still be more than happy to share that bottle of vino with ya. :o)

I just got home, and even though it rained all the way, I made the 490 mile trip in 7 hours. CMB would almost be proud of me!

Thanks for the ride baume and for the great trip. It was great meeting a bunch of new TT'ers. I'm kind of beat at the moment so if I don't get to your trip report tonight BB, for sure tomorrow. I am sure it is excellent as I enjoyed your report in the shelter log.

Hey Guys, what a great trip. I got home around 4:00. I took my time so I could listen to the Titans game. I picked it up in Bristol and listend all the way home.
I enjoyed meeting all of you and can't wait to do it again.
BB, do the trip report cause if it is anything like the report in the shelter log it will be hilarous.
I will try to get up some pics tomorrow, there wasn't a lot taken due to the weather.
