try here:
Ultralight Packs

and
Lightweight Packs

Neither of these threads is the one I was thinking of. I will look later for it.

Yo bear!
Sorry jerbear! How rude of me!

I haven't received it yet, but nothing on the website said anything. So probably not.

I tried the gust and unless I get a smaller (read down) bag I can't do it. My gear weight is not bad.

We met at Jordan River and I have the small Trek pack. It fits me well and I'm very small and 5'2". I think you could use this pack. If we hike together again, I'll let you try mine on for size.

Dhutch and tango...
Thank you Tango for the links and info. If you ever find the thread/info that you were looking for, please email it to me instead.

Dhutch... thank you for your most generous offer! I will take you up on it, should we ever hike again together. Please email me with info on your next hiking trip, and perhaps I'll bring Shane a few treats! LOL!

I'm no longer posting here, and would appreciate it if you all could just send emails to: goldenfingers13@aol.com now.

Thanks so much again for your wonderful help. I'm hoping that I'll find a summer pack that's lighter for me. That's why I'm looking into them. Take care!

WingdingO, I just loaded up the new Golite Trek. With five days worth of food and 4 liters of h20 I'm at 30 lbs. I'm also thinking about replacing my current tent with a TarpTent made by Henry Shires. That will drop another 2 lbs.

By the way, the CamelBak bladder fits in fine.
