It's Hockey Season!!

The changes I've seen since the mid-60s have been significant, and not necessarily for the better. Back then I was as fanatical as Tango is now. And this was before expansion and the Flyers' coming to the league.

Dump and chase just plain sucks. I understand why they do it, but it sucks. I think it almost over turns the puck over to the other team.

And since when is it okay to take out a goalie inside the crease. Some Senator almost took Sean Burke out of the rink last night, and no penalty. The ref said something to Burke by way of explanation. Burke took matters into his own hand and held the guy by his jersey so he couldn't get back into the play as quickly, and the zebras overlooked that as well. Man, back in the day you even snuck a skate into the crease and you got two minutes to think about it.”

A few days ago, a player on the opposition skated into the crease and used his knee to bash Jose Theodore's (Montreal's goalie)temple. In the slo mo, you can actually see the player stick out his knee. Theodore was flattened for a couple of minutes.”

“It's one thing if he's out of the crease playing the puck, but when they're in the crease you can't touch them and the refs need to call it that way.”

“That penalty was meant to protect goalies from potentially injurious collisions, and in fairness to let them do their job (you can't very well make a save with a 250-pound brute threatening your life).

They wonder why goalies attack players with their oversized sticks; that's why. So then they call the goalie instead of the cretin that caused the ruckus in the first place.

We'll be here thru the middle of May for sure. Actually, the Sunshine State is officially our new home. Our home address is Largo and our vehicles are registered here. I even have a TB Lightning plate on the truck. Now watch them lose in the first round.

We're still heading to Delaware/Maryland for three months and then to California for three months but will be back here for the winter months.
