Here is how we mark the passage of the season in Flufya:

September: The Flutters open training camp. The new coach says, "Duh organeyezation will take nuthing less than duh Stanley Cup championship dis year."

October: The new coach says, "Duh organeyezation is geared to win duh Stanley Cup, eh?"

November: "We had a rough start, but duh organeyezation is going to do whatever it takes to play in duh Stanley Cup finals."

December: "Y'know, we have a lot of injuries and got some bad breaks, but duh organeyezation remains hopeful we will play in duh Stanley Cup finals."

January: "Duh organeyezation fully expects we will make duh playoffs dis season."

February: "We will work hard in hopes of making duh playoffs."

March: "If we win our next 12 games, we can be in the playoffs."

April: "As I predicted when training camp began, duh organeyezation will be going to duh Stanley Cup playoffs to scout duh other teams."

May: GM Bob Clark, looking pained, as though he has just swallowed a bucket of practice pucks, grimly tells the media, "Duh organeyezation has seen fit to fire duy coach."

June: GM Bob Clark and President Ed Snider are beaming as they tell the media, "Duh organeyezation is pleased to announce duh hiring of a new coach. He will take duh organeyezation to a Stanley Cup victory next year.

July: Hiring of a free agent is announced "to make sure duh organeyezation will bring the Stanley Cup back to Flufya."

August: The new coach tells the media at a press conference that he is pleased that the makeup of the Flutters organeyezation "will bring the Stanley Cup home to Fluffya, eh?"”
