Actually I've never been a Rats fan, mainly because there presence almost single handedly destroyed the old AHL Adirondack Redwings. When the Albany team started the Glens Falls team lost a lot of it’s fan base, which resulted in the team moving to some other city that I don’t know or care where.

As for me liking the Devils. The person the got me into hockey was a Devils fan, so I grew up watching Devils hockey.”

Don't be bitter. The Flyers showed up. They were just overpowered. The Sabres totally outplayed them in every game, even if you look at the stats for the two games the Flutters won you've got to shake your head. They set the tone for the series by not winning game one. When your goalie has a night like that you've got no excuse for losing.”

“Like I say, that's the fallacy of trading away good young players (who won the Calder Cup last season for crying out loud) for a bunch of broken down old guys (okay, so they're a lot younger than me, but I doon't lace 'em up, eh, and embarass the organeyezashun).

Bitter? No, this team just had such high expectations, and when the chips were down they fell flat.

They have about 10 guys going under the knife or just emerging from under the knife, but that's just about par for the course at the end of a hockey season. Everybody gets banged up in the playoffs, if not sooner.

The Sabers played well and made less mistakes. They made good use of the power plays, of which they had way too many. That has been a problem with the Flyers all season. And our power play sucked. Hell, I did not expect them to go up two on the Senators. They are one of the surprises of the playoffs, but they apparently put it all together late in the season. Lindy Ruff is a good coach. I hate him, so that means he's got to be good. All the players I hate on other teams end up in the hall of fame. I never have figured out how that works ...”

“Whilst watching parts of last night's game, the thought occurred to me that I hate Otto What's Snooters more than the Bungalow Slobbers.

Did anybody see that large object that was thrown out of the stands at the end of the game. Glad it didn't whop somebody upside the head!

Reminded me of a game in the 1960s, when Bungalow was in the AHL along with the Balmer Clippers. A fan threw a beer bottle out of the stands, intending to hit a Clipper. The Clipper was long gone when the bottle hit Gilles Villameur, the Bungalow goalie, in the back of the head and cold-cocked him. Gilles was a super goalie - lights out in his AHL days. He was ultimately called up by the Rankers, but did not really take in the NHL. I always have wondered whether getting walluped by that bottle took something off his game.”
