“Stanlee, same thing happened last year to us. Great save by their goalie in the last second of the game last year could have tied it up and we could've gone to game 7 last year.

And hossa what a sucka! I don't have a prob with players moving on but don't lie and and don't diss your old team both of which he did! So serves him right. Mad Max Talbot said he couldn't wait to see him in the handshake line to tell him (hossa) that he picked the wrong team!

“dude, that was one intense game. I'm glad Pittsburgh won... the best part was that shot of Hossa on the bench, just DREADING the handshake.

Does anybody else think Crosby's injury looked like it could be something pretty serious? I guess he has lenty of time to heal up as long as he keeps that leg elevated... maybe by resting it on the cup”

it was a great game.

what stanley observed, i saw too.. it was a total redwings shooting gallery the last 10min or so.. the puck pretty much staid in pinguin's goal area that whole time... and it was a slapshot after slapshot.. fleury was totally on it that night.

“Forgot to give an update on the game last Saturday.

The Phantoms played their home opener to a sellout (or close to it) crowd at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The place seamed a lot bigger back when I'd go see the Red Wings play there. Had seats in the 4th row. Should have gotten them for the 5th, because the woman sitting right behind me won the seat price.

They had local micro brew on tap in the arena. The only bad part of the night was the Phantoms lost with 11 seconds left on the clock. I hope to see a few more games before the season is over. Great to have hockey back in Glens Falls.”

“Penguins accuse Hartnell of biting Letang


PHILADELPHIA -- The Penguins are accusing Philadelphia winger Scott Hartnell of biting Penguins defenseman Kris Letang on the right ring finger during a scrum with less than two seconds left in the Penguins' 5-4 victory at the Wachovia Center tonight.

Letang, whose finger was heavily bandaged, said simply, "I think he knows what he did," but, in keeping with the company line, did not overtly charge Hartnell with biting him.

Hartnell told reporters he did not bite Letang, but added that "a lot of stuff happens on the bottom of the pile. He had his hands in my face doing the face wash and we're rolling around. I can't say what happened."”
