“There may be heavy traffic on major roads due to Daytona 500. Actually, traffic WILL suck. I just found out about it today. Be careful driving, guys!”

“Eh, Daytona 500 is next week but they've still got some neckcar related stuff going on this weekend. Drive careful everyone. HPM days a big pothole opened up on 95 south in St. Johns co. that is ripping whole wheels off the mercedes and lexi going by.”

“OPIE just called me from the campfire and everyone said hello to me! It sounds like they are having a great time and alot of people showed up!”

“20 people are there in Ocala right now. Tex is at home and ok.”

“Just heard from HPM, everyone is going home or heading to a restaurant to wreak some havoc. HPM picked up a nasty tick bite that is bruising badly, so it might be a trip to the doc for him.”

It was like a vacation for me. Other people beat me to the campsites and collected lots of firewood. All I had to do was stumble around and smile. And I did stumble.

Special thanks to jerbear and CMB for providing a lot of entertainment, to those who tolerated my kicking up their tent and tarp pegs as I stumbled around, to OM for that delicious slice of mango, to whoever provided the chocolate pudding, to jerbear for offering to carry some of my stuff(He meant well, but I don't expect to need help for 20 years or so. I only look like I need help.), to StoveStomper for the coke can stove, to arclite for loaning me a couple of tent stakes for my tarp, to walkindude(a black belt artist) for listening to my ranting about my martial arts' activities, to billy boy backpacker for providing some color around the campfires, to all the group for treating me so nice and to HPM, StoveStomper and 2scoops for waiting for me with a shuttle.

Highlights of this outing were the evening campfires. Some of the boys piled the wood high on the fires to warm things, but they failed to make it hot enough to get the girls to shed much clothing. HPM provided a great feast with the cinnamon buns cooked on aluminum reflector ovens close to the campfire. The frogs provided an outstanding serenade.

It started to rain hard in the parking lot, so I jumped in my car and headed home. After one coffee stop and a little more than two hours, I was at my health club for showers and a steam bath. No ticks, no bug bites.”
