walkindude - I'm liking tracks 3 nd 4. Of course the Southpark sampling is great. Track three reminds me a (very little bit) bit of Bowie (bass reminds me of China Girl). Track four reminds me a bit of Rush. I must be getting old, I'm liking the softer songs.”

“Nowslimmer - on the shuttle back we needed to take om and Jerbear back to her car on 599. There was a very steep hill that was difficult to climb when it was dry, much less in the rain. My truck was weighted down with 7 hikers and gear and it's only two wheel drive so I kind of gunned it and careened about the various bumps and potholes up to the top. Wheels may have been off the ground and Jerbear definitely got a jolt as he was sitting in back.

As far as I can tell, my truck is no waorse for the wear.”

Big Coop,
On the track called "Pandora", There is actually three of us playing guitar parts. That's a perfect example of a song that was recorded completely through the web. We all recorded our own part at our on home. That song has never been played as a group.
On "Find" and "Breaking Up" I recorded All the music and then handed a CD off and said "here, write some words and then do the vocals". I don't sing myself.
On "Wind", I have written lyrics for it but just need to get someone to do the singing. It'll sound really cool when it's done.
"MDK Factor" was the first thing I recorded when I started back playing so it has sentimental value. For a long time it didn't have a title. Crazy Mike was the insperation for the title. LOL!!
"Evil B!tc#" is just a novalty cut. No way to ever play that one live. HAHAHA!!! It would be hard to get the South Park kids to show up for a gig.”

“I showed up at the ranger station about daylight Friday morning. No one had showed up by noon, so Belle, Giz, and I hit the trail.

We stopped for lunch at Scratcheelatchee Creek. We waited for awhile, but still no other TTers.

We continued on to Lake Kwikkylikky where we made camp. Gizmo gathered firewood, I pitched the tent, and Sarabelle began dinner. Tonights menu: "Kittykitty doodoo sprize". It was difficult to pull off, but Belle never suspected that I DID NOT eat my portion.

After a humiliating (for me) game of after-dark hide-and-seek, the kids and I kicked-back around the fire and shared stories of previous TT hikes.

Belle told of the time she caused "Hikin Man" to "pee on his sleepy bag" at Shining Rocks by posing as the Skeery Woof Bare outside his tent.

Gizmo LOL'd as he described how he snuck a bag of jerky from CMB's tent at MTpalooza.

I reminesced(sp?) about the time I did the "hog in the bushes beside her tent at dawn" trick on Pamster at Cumby Island. Gooooood times!

The kids soon retired, and I nursed the fire for another hour or so. But still, no TTers.

Next morning, we had a breakfast of tuna, Ramen, Pup-aroni, and heartworm pills. Before breaking camp, we orbited the lake, but still no TTers.

Soon after getting back underway, Belle and Gizmo got into a heated discussion-soon-turned-all-out-argument about "stinkyest butts". Gizmo claiming that armadillos have the stinkiest, and Belle giving the nod to mules. The argument soon led to "bites, trikky hops, and sekert ressel moves". I was finally able to get them apart by removing Gizmo from Belle in a similar manner as a tick... a big tick.

The two steamed and pouted the rest of the morning. Gizmo peed on Belle, claiming that it was an accident. In return, Belle "bit a fly bug" off Gizmo's head - missing the phantom fly, and getting an ear piercing, skreechy yelp from Giz.

That was it... the last straw.

I leashed the dogs, and we turned back toward the truck. We were back at the trailhead in <2 hours. We were drinking beer in another 1/2 hour. Liquored up, Giz and Belle made amends, and we passed out in the cab. Giz woke me several times to go pee.

Next morning, we returned to the trailhead, but still no sign of any TTers.

I'm sorry we missed y'all. Mebbe next time.”

“Humanpackmule- It was great to finally put a face to the name. I’ll bet you make a great scout leader. Your wife and child are lucky folks. If I ever have boys (that I know of), I’d love to have you be their scout leader.

Big Coop- Like most big men I’ve met, I enjoyed your calm demeanor. It was hard to argue with your logic for attending a little girl’s school, especially if you’re a little boy. Boooyah!

Big Al- Did get to talk with you much but you seemed like a very friendly guy.

Nowslimmer- Great to meet you. You seem to enjoy hiking for many of the reasons that I do. You must have a serious exercise routine to be in that good shape. Sorry you couldn’t partake of the steak. Maybe I can bring some tofu burgers for you next time. Yummy!

Jerbear- My buddy. It was great to see you again. Glad that we could turn you on to some good paddling and beautiful Florida weather.

Tango- Any woman who can feel comfortable sitting around the campfire shooting the bull with a bunch of guys, is cool. Any woman who can who can give as good as she gets when the innuendo starts flying, is very cool.

Crazy Mike- What a blast. Mike, you’re crazy in a good way.

Walkindude- Instant bud. I’d hike with you any day. Thanks for the interesting CD. If you aren’t familiar with these hard rock classics, check out Funk #49 by James Gang, Machine Gun by Hendrix, and Mississippi Queen by Mountain. I think you’ll like them a lot.

2Scoops- Nice guy, funny sense of humor. I enjoyed your campfire comedy.

Ewker- Didn’t get to talk with you much but I enjoyed your infectious smile. You seem like you’re happy most of the time.

Trekkngirl- Very nice. I enjoyed hiking quietly with you. That is, until the rest of the gang caught up and we got to hear how Crazy Mike could cause death and destruction with all forms of weapons. It’s a very good thing that Crazy Mike can’t get his hands on a warthog killer aircraft.

Goose & Skullcap - Didn’t get to talk with you much. You seemed like good outdoors folks with great taste in vehicles.

Om- Great trip. I know we’ll do more in the future.

Radagast- Me amigo. How did my beard end up moving to your face? It might not be as thick but it certainly is a better color.

Stovestomper- Hope you enjoyed the great weather we had on Monday afternoon and Tuesday. Sorry we couldn’t do the Juniper Springs run. Maybe next time you get down here. I covet your tarp tent.

Opie- You should have a stand up routine and be making lots of bucks in the comedy clubs. You are one very funny guy.

Trailtalker (Tammy)- It was nice talking with you. You made a great addition to our trailtalk group.

Billy Boy Backpacker- You did great. I think that your initial thought to get those lime green rain pants was a good one. Maybe in Springtime, when the leaves are a bright, fluorescent, neon green, you’ll blend in better.”
