What about dogs w/human a**holes?

Keep humans on a leash, better yet, leave them at home. There's a certain regression that takes place when you bring a human into the woods. An experience I had last weekend points this out.

I went for a romp in the hills to visit my favorite hot springs. These stupid dalmations had brought their humans with them who decided to camp "next" to the springs. They let their humans intimidate me with sticks just to prove a point.

I got my revenge though. The next day I trotted down to the trailhead parking area, jumped in their window, took a poop in the drivers seat and pissed in the passengers seat. Then made like a bone with the seat cushions for good measure. I wanted to make their experience as pleasant as mine.

Next time leeve your humans at home or you have a stinky sur-prise waiting.

I see. This isn’t the original thread. I guess dogs can’t search.

Maple Leaf – Poopie was parodying the infamous willk on http://www.thebackpacker.com/trailtalk/thread.php?id=10229&age=999&p=6#263202" target="_blank">the original a**holes w/dogs thread.

Personally, my take on the whole "dogs on the trail" issue is that it is just one of those ‘hot button’ topics like guns, Clinton or abortion. People tend to get very emotional over these issues and argue forever.

In addition, most dog owners are pathetically lonely, psychologically isolated, mentally inept, and in need of social interaction on any level. The people who feel a need to develop a relationship with a blindly loyal (and stunningly unintelligent) animal such as a dog often are those who are too socially crippled to manage a relationship with a sentient, discriminating creature such as a human being.

If you insist on taking a dog into the backcountry, perhaps you had better reassess the reasons for your misguided dependence on this ignoble animal. Your problem may be that you are afraid to deal with creatures on an equal basis in trying to get the love and attention you need.

I think Clintons mother should have had an abortion, then shot herself after she went on a hike and took the family dog with her..

so am I part of the IN crowd now??

HEY!!!!!!!!!!
Who's ripping off my story?!?!!!

Unlike that shitdog who started this copycat thread it REALLY HAPPENED to me. In fact I wrote an editorial to the NYT after I got home and they printed it verbatim:

"Keep dogs on a leash when on the trail; better yet, don't allow dogs on any trail. There's sort of a regression that takes place w/ dog and owner when in the wild. My last encounter was hiking to a hotspring when a couple allowed their dog to intimidate me at a trail junction just to prove a point. These jerks were also camping "next" to the hotspring. I got my revenge by hiking out the next day, opening their car, taking a dump on the drivers seat and pissing on the passenger seat. I wanted to make their experience as nice as mine. I actually have a friend who shot and killed two charging dobermans at a state park. The owners were pissed but had no recourse; he only got a $50 fine for shooting a gun at the park."

Why Dogs are better than Violin...
1. The later you are, the more excited they are to see you.
2. Dogs will forgive you for playing with other Dogs.
3. If a Dog is gorgeous, other Dogs don't hate it.
4. Dogs don't notice if you call them by another Dog's name.
5. A Dog's disposition stays the same all the time.
6. Dogs like it if you leave things on the floor.
7. A Dog's parents never visit.
8. Dogs do not hate their bodies.
9. Dogs agree you don't have to raise your voice to get your point across.
10. Dogs like to do their snooping outside, rather than in your wallet or backpack.
11. Dogs seldom outlive you.
12. Dogs can't talk.
13. Dogs may pee, but they never moan.
14.You never have to wait for a dog - they're ready 24/7.
15. We find dogs amusing, even when drunk.
16. If you bring another Dog home, your dog will happily play with both of you.
17. A Dog will not wake you up in the middle of the night to ask, "If I die, will you get another Dog?"
18. If a Dog has babies, you can put an ad in the paper and give them away.
19. A Dog will let you put a studded collar on it without calling you "Tiger".
20. If a Dog smells another Dog on you, they don't get mad, they just think it's interesting.
21. Dogs don't let magazine articles and the current Soapbox subject guide their lives.
22. When your Dog gets old, you can have it mercifully put to sleep.
23. If a Dog leaves, it won't take half your stuff.
24. If a Dog wags its tail at you, it's not because it just zinged you.
25. Dogs don't know how to type.
26. If they COULD type, though, they know how to spell.
