Anyone else going?
It has been a few years since I went to this... last time, I had a HD Road King... but the event is open to all bikes, and if you're from the West, and you ride, perhaps you've heard of it.

The streets of Reno are closed for this annual event, and for five days, they're instead populated by vendors of all kinds, entertainment up and down the streets, and in most cases, rooms are hard to come by. About 4-5,000 bikers or more (I don't know the actual numbers) roll in to one of the most scenic areas in the Sierra's.

I'm excited about the ride up there. It's about 3-3.5 hours ENE of me, with entry into the foothills about 2 hours into the ride. Have been there many times, and as I reminisce, it occurs to me that there are many places along the route I'd love to hike as well. As I recall, there are a great many opportunities to jump off on weekend trailheads, in particular, the Tahoe Rim Trail.

I scored a couple of suites, comped, for the 5-day event, thanks to an influential friend. I've yet to invite any of my "girl friends", so if you like to ride, and are thinking of going, maybe I can help. The dates are 9/25-29.

Should be a great ride, Obi. Can't say I appreciate the end destination, tho...
