moss and baggie strainer
this is for those who don't know how to properly dispose of food scraps from your pot..1.bryan cut corner in baggie. 2.put moss in corner of baggie. 3. take water from dirty pot and pour through baggie. 4. haul baggie with food particles out of woods and dispose at nearest trashcan...lol

Perhaps it would just be better to feed it to Trail Snack...

Good point. Coffee filters would also work well if you use them in the morning.

Moss ?? Would that be moss that you've picked, from the wild?... or did you bring it from home. ;-)

What do you do with this moss when you are finished with it ?? ....Take it home.

I like the coffee filter idea

Just feed them to Birch. It's pretty rare that all our food isn't eaten, and the bowls "licked" clean.

Boil water, add to freeze dried meal, eat meal from freeze-dried package, seal package when done, cart out package.

You don't need to filter anything AND certainly not by using moss. Ever hear of No Trace?

Tuna Boy and Tuna Can
Yes, my son and the proper way to dispose of a tuna CAN is not bring one but use the new tuna in a bag. But make sure you are carrying those out with you and not throwing them in the fire when Katy Bug is not looking. I'm burning it when I can.

The best thing I 've found is to just make the food in the pastic bags. If you use a bowl to eat out of make sure all the chunks are out, add some water to get the rest disolved and drink down. Boil bowl to sanatize and you're done. no scraps.

note: this sump method can be done with making food in a large pot, but it's not pretty for the guy that has to drink it.
