How to make a pic into yer desktop?

i'd like to know how to take one of my pics on cd and make it my desktop.Anyone know how to do this?Thanx:)

You gotta put the picture in a folder that's on your hard drive like "My Documents". From there, just right click on the picture and a pop up will come down. Click on "Set as Background". That should do it.

For your background?
In windows:

First try opening the image from the CD and right click it, see if the Save as wallpaper dialogue comes up.

If not, click on start, settings, display, background, browse open it from the cd. You may have to save it to a folder on your hard drive first, but I don't think so.

Pathman yer way sounds easier-maybe Im wrong.I hate opening files/documents.Its like a fluke to me if i find either one.Might as well drive around the GC rim blindfolded!!!

the dude may be right about copying it to a folder first. I right click on my webshots images all the time to change my wallpaper

If you have it reading it from the CD then it'll be confused when you take the CD out. I'm sure it needs to be on the hard drive.

speaking of confused-i just tried to do it from the cd but now it wont play the cd.i think i have to be offline.maybe my pc is f'ed-its is from 96...hehehehe...

If you capture a picture from webshots then it adds it to your hard drive.

yup my pc is f'ed...now it wont play my pic cd's no more!!!!instead it goes to install apple quicktime then does it and then i get a box that says i need windows95 OSR2 or better to operate!!Why the f did my pic cd's work before and not now?This is weird or is it the beer!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't help ya there. You need Skirace or Radagast or some other computer Know-it-all to help ya there.

well,i right clicked on my webshot image and it worked!Way easy too :)
