BTW: Where are all the Denver and Chicago advocates?

I think both teams have a legit shot at reaching the big game (as do Seattle, Carolina, Indy and the Pats - The only teams I can't see in the Bowl are Washington or the winner of Cinci-Pittsburg). I think an AFC team will win the bowl and couldn't pick anyone but the Pats to be that AFC team, but Indy or Denver could do the job if they get there.
I think Chicago and Seattle have a better shot at winning the bowl than Carolina, I don't think Carolina will have the consistency to get past 3 top teams in a row.
I'm definitely biased on the Pats, and probably FOS (full of...) on the rest... but thats my guess and I'll deny believing any of it if proven wrong.

Seahawks vs Gibbs.... fancy your chances USA?”
Y2

Funny you should mention that. I was thinking about Gibbs, too.

Seriously though, nobody in the NFC is going to challenge the Seahawks.

The Bengals are playing with Jon Kitna at QB? Talk about a blast from the past. I thought his NFL days were done after his Seahawks days.

Something else to watch in the Seahawks-Redskins game is Mark Brunell. He always has a big game against the Seahawks because he loves to play against Seattle. He won a national championship for the Washington Huskies here in Seattle back in '91, and if anybody knows how to play in the elements in Seattle, he does.

To be honest I don't rate the Redskins changes particularly highly, but as no one else does then that works in their favor.
I also read in the post yesterday that many of Gibbs' teams have been rated that highly going into the playoffs and the guy has pulled it off in the past.
Also in the Tampa game, sure they didn't get that far with the run, but then as they had an early lead, Tampa knew they were going to run the ball until they got to a 3rd and long situation, just to run the clock down.

Crash bang, until he wins a superbowl then Manning s the overrated guy. He can to the flash stuff in the regular season, but then when the pressue comes on he's not so good. He gets past New England this year and it's a different story.

Y2, the colts' past losses in the post season have less to do with manning's performance and more to do with their lack of defense. His play is pretty consistant.

dear steelers
dont try a trick play on 3rd and goal

dont lateral the ball after an interception when youre trying to protect a lead

youre better than that

The outcome of this game is good for the Colts, they don't want to face Pats or Denver while a little rusty - it's been a while since they clinched top seed.

Pats at Denver should be a tough one, Colts should romp, so should Seattle. Carolina - Chicago could be a great game. I'd figure Chicago, but if Carolina really has gotten their act together they'll probably take it.

Bummer to see the Bengals lose Palmer like that, but I'm not sure the outcome would have been any different with him in the game. Might be another year for those guys.

That was sad. Kimo felt bad about it, if you saw what he did after the play. I don't like when ANY (except eli manning) players get hurt. They said torn ACL.

Palmer would have produced had he stayed in. He is a lot better at running the no-fuddle than Kitna.

Understood Crash. It's all mutual, except I don't hate the Ponies - in fact, I feel some pity for them.

I'm just relieved that they had instant replay so the refs got over-ruled on the interception. It would be a shame if the Broncos got to go to Indy and crush the Ponies, instead of the Pats getting to do the job. I just hope those Ponies manage to sneak past Pittsburg.

Hey, Eli is a pup. He had a good year. This kid is going to be good, like his brother. Hopefully, he will stay healthy and not be a tragedy statistic. But, Crash is in hte realm of reality to be a little cocky about the Colts. They really are THE team to beat this year.

Let's see if they get by tomorrow! moohaahaahahaaa

i hope the pats can pull off the comeback, so the colts can kick their butts next week, but most importantly, i dont wanna hear all the whining from now until september about how the refs took the game away from them. pats have been the beneficiary of alot of bad calls and non-calls in the past (think afc championship game 2 years ago), so no pity :-(
