way to cover the spread, colts. this is a 5-0 team that could easily have been 1-4. until they can find a way to slow the run, theyre going to have a hard time with the better teams in the league. and now i hear simon, their best chance at stopping the run, is out for the season with some undisclosed illness. at least sanders should be back after the bye week. thatll help, hopefully. addai continues to look impressive. i loved the one where hes behind a wall of blockers, fakes left, and then cuts right and picks up 15. this guys a keeper

i'm disappointed in Fox for their coverage of the dallas/philly game...they just further fueled this stupid TO hype...they had an arrow pointing to where he was lining up just about ever play and when there was a lull in the action the cameras were on him...i love that for 3 of the passes that were thrown to him, he dropped one and two were picked off

Other than perhaps the TV coverage, there was NOTHING disapponting about the Dallas/Philly game. It was great to see Owens leave town with his tail between his legs after he finished screaming at the Dallas sideline (better them than us). The best part though was that even with all of the ridiculous hype, the Philly fans were pretty well behaved, at least in the stadium - a few arrests but no more than for a typical NFL game in any city - pretty good considering it was a 4 o'clock game. Anyone who has been to a tailgate party in Philly knows what that means.

besides the obvious problems they have with run defense, i think the other problem that the colts have is that theyre over-compensating for the loss of james by over-emphasizing the run, so that when manning does throw he's out of synch because theyve just ran the ball 10 straight times.

i was thinking manning was out of synch for most of the game too...his aim was off and he was out of rhythm

...oh yea, and even though the bengals had their bye this week they still sucked

The best part of the Philly Dullest game, aside from the win, was that Donovan completed all those long passes to receivers other than TO while TO was squawking on the sidelines. They should have had arrows pointing to those guys reading "Not T.O."

So I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan, not for their playing, but for the soap opera that goes on here between Sundays. The TO hype blew quickly away by Monday morning as everybody realized he's exactly what we feared he was when they signed him. Now it's the standard "we lost, therefore we need a new QB" controversy and "we thought this was going to be the greatest defense in history."

Before the season started any reasonable person would have looked at the first 4 games of the schedule and said Jacksonville & Philly away were losses. Now that it's happened there's so much wailing and gnashing of teeth - "but Chris Mortensen picked the Cowboys to win the Superbowl!"

Jerry Jones does a great job with this circus hiring clowns like TO and Parcells.

Not robbed
Last night's game was a good team on a bad night beating a bad team on a good night.

Arizona looked like what I've seen from the Cowboys the last few years - a sloppy predictable offense. Waste 1st & 2nd down on runs up the middle that haven't worked all night and then have to max protect for the all-out blitz on 3rd & 10. Then when it looks like you might get somewhere a bonehead offensive penalty pushes you back. Leinart looked good - too bad he's in Arizona.

Yes. More propaganda from the Bush Administration to scare folks before the election.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Department of Homeland Security has sent an advisory to the National Football League and local officials advising of a possible, uncorroborated bomb threat against some NFL stadiums.

The threat, posted on a Web site, alleges that dirty bombs could be used this weekend against seven stadiums -- in Miami, New York, Atlanta, Seattle, Houston, Oakland and Cleveland. The bombs were to be delivered by truck, the posting said.

On its Web site, the U.S. Nuclear Regulator Commission describes a dirty bomb as a device that combines a conventional explosive, such as dynamite, with radioactive material. According to the NRC, a dirty bomb is in no way similar to a nuclear weapon. The presumed purpose of its use would be as a weapon of mass disruption rather than a weapon of mass destruction

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (CNN) -- A law enforcement official told CNN that a man has admitted he posted a fake bomb threat against National Football League stadiums in major U.S. cities as part of an Internet competition with a person in Texas to create the scariest terror scenario possible.

The official told CNN that it's too early to say whether the man will be charged.

The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security had earlier determined that the threat was a hoax, FBI spokesman Richard Kolko told CNN Thursday.

glad to see the colts finally put together a nearly complete game (minus the blown punt coverage). that td pass to wayne was a thing of beauty

the bears and a few other teams had a bye week. i hear the other teams asked if they could play this week, fearing to be on the same schedule with chicago

During the highlights, they showed McNabb for the Eagles puking on the field behind the center in the 110 degree heat and he had to call a time out. Yuck! I'll bet he wanted to puke again after that guy kicked the long field to win the game.
