Angeles fire contained

“I read in the paper this morning, the Wiliams Canyon fire in The San Gabriels and the Angeles Forest is pretty much contained. The threat to Baldy Village is gone, but there are 38,000 acres charred. The number of firefighters has been reduced from 3,000 to 600. More than 60 homes were burned.
Thank God no one was killed.

Perhaps they will reopen the Angeles soon. I still have Cucamonga to hike this Fall.”

“I heard they were not going to open the forest for quite a while, but that was not "official". They supposedly were deciding what to do with the San Bernardino National Forest also.
