What is in Michigan and why is everyone going?

Where did you live in Michigan, bacpac? I'll admit there are a couple spots that could leave less than an ideal impression.”

RL, I'm trying to warm up to Wisconsin, but you'd think I'd make more progress over 8 years. I mean, this place only borders on 2 Great Lakes! How lame is that! Okay, okay, the Mississippi/St. Croix river system forms another border, but still....”

“don't worry, pekka, I don't consider myself a "detroiter" per say. there are some cool things about Detroit. but my plan is to move to the west side of the state in a couple years.”

“I'm married to a Michigander who was born in Detroit - family is now in various suburbs. We're going back for a brief visit just after Christmas. I did get to go to a game at ol' Tiger Stadium once when I visited - very cool. Well, not the weather: game time temp was 104!!

“Having lived in MI for the majority of my life, I have to say that it's one heck of a state. Without having to go too far, I can experience Christmas all year long (Frankenmuth), hike in the prettiest areas (up north and the west side of the state), and still have all 4 seasons to their extremes. That old addage stands true: if you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes and it'll change.

I've considered moving to another state, perhaps south of here, but in all honesty, MI is where it's at. We may have lost BOB-LO, but now we have CASINO'S! LOL!

Besides, where else would I find my Amish beefjerky?!? hehe!”
