lmao!
Hibachis are cool, but I prefer actual barbecue grills- the kind with two legs and two wheels so you can wheel it in front of you while you hike. Plus, there's room inside for you to pack your huge a$$ comforter.

I prefer a soapstone stove myself.

Nasty - do you prefer charcoal or gas when backpacking? I imagine gas Q's are heavier but charcoal is filthy. I guess it's a tradeoff, weight vs. filth.

Yeah well, one of my non backpacking co-workers thought I carried a two burner coleman stove into the woods with me. %}

Gas, bro, gas. You can drag those big mothers uphill with a rope, and then roll e'm down the other side. Gets rid of those pesky dayhikers too.

Sure. Kick me while I'm down. NO, I'm not going to Maine, thank you for opening THAT wound.
J/k, no, I'm only allowed to take vacation in the summer time, which sux. Sounds like it's gonna be a great trip, though.

Gas, charcoal what’s the difference. Just toss it all in your wheelbarrow and down the trail you go.

You laugh, but one guy did use a hand cart to wheel some of his stuff in to the first Titanium Chef event...

Actually Bit, while we were on the Del Water Gap trip, we all saw these guys with a huge video camera, a hibachi and a monster comforter on the trail. They also had radios to communicate, but the batteries must have been dead, so they're yelling into them to talk to each other- They were well within yelling distance anyway, but that didn't seem to bother them at all.

Amazing what some people will bring into the backcountry.

Of course, Big Gulp (aka bbinkley) brought in one of those soft-side coolers with 12 Miller Lites in ice, on the Sipsey trip last weekend.

And let me tell ya, there's nothing quite like an ice-cold beer in the backcountry.

I'd laugh at at anyone who would use a hand cart instead of a wheelbarrow.

On the Del Water Gap trip, some people looked at me funny 'cos I hiked in a six pack of Guinness- Glass bottles, no cooler. Hell, it was made to drink warm. My only regret is that I didn't have enough for everyone.

yah Guinness should be warm or you won't taste the malt, just the hops, and it will be too bitter.

Big Gulp brought in those 16oz plastic pounders, it was great.

Must Hike, anytime. Bit, I actually grew up a half mile from the Guinness brewery in Dublin, and my father owned one of the top five bars in the city there. Maple, I have a grill we could use over the fire.
