I wasn't going to say anything but I am now so relieved that the evil weather has passed TN that I'm getting pretty pumped about the MS society Bike ride tomorrow. 150 miles, which if nothing else riases money for a good cause and keeps me in shape for my real love, walking in the woods. Which BTW we will be doing in the Smokies 11-1 to 11-4. Anyone in the area of Mt. Laurel Shelter GSMNP on 11-2??

Enjoy mtnman!

Is the ride over two days or are you doing all 150 in one day? I've never done that one but I do the Trek Across Maine, some other small ones, and completed my first century ride this year.
I love to ride my bicycle! (and yes, I sing that while riding, lol!)

Have a great time, I did the Northeast Aids Ride from Bear Mt, to Boston. 350 miles over 4 days. I think I did about 15 miles and that kicked my butt. But I did volunteer alot!

but please stay safe and remember to have fun meetinmg new people!

Sounds like fun. I did the Hotter N Hell back in August. Had a great time except for the cramps. Be sure to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.Hopefully your weather will be a little better.

Looks like (now the hurricane has passed) the weather will be great. Doing 75 down and return Sunday 75 back. Ride is called Jack and Back as its to the Jack Daniels Distillery. Should be a blast, even for a 39.998 year old like myself. Thanks

wow mtnman, I'm jealous. I have to miss riding the hilly this year. BTW you can combine riding and walking through the woods. Just buy a mountain bike :)

I'm back from the big ride for MS, absolutely great, new personal best distance/speed. Feel like I can Jog up to the AT next month, If I had a mountain bike it would be mostly falling through the woods. I'll be hitting 40 in the best condition of my life. Problem is at this age if you stop for a week its like starting all over.
