“Goretex just called me to say that he is now back home and he Passed the Mountaineering (sp) test!In Washington State! he takes the final test for a job in Feb, I think he said.

he sounds so happy.
He did have to sell his comp, so he is tring to get online on post himself.

Now we have a leader for our hikes, although he will probably be relocating westward after February.”

“Good news! I can start working out agao\in and go hikin' again. My hip pain has gone away. WOHOO!!! My next weekend off I'm goin' to try to get some longer hiking in. Day hiking still (dont want to push it yet)
And im going to start hitting the gym again. I've missed the gym. I was really enjoying going to it cept when it got bad where I could barely hobble outta there.”

“Well, I didnt actually pay to see a DR. But I did talk to one I know who usually works in the ER when I check the crash carts. he definiatly thought it was an over use thing as I had been jogging (somthing i havent really ever done much of before) so I waited it out. It slowly got better---I was able to take slightly longer walks, 3-5 miles again before It hurt again. Now it seems to have gone away compleatly even at work when Im lifting things around. So, I will TRY not to over do it this time.”

“WOW...don't know if I mentioned this but a few months ago a close friend of mine fell off a horse and hit a TREE..(OW) where she crashed was in her brother's farm, her step brother was on the Engine that responded....she ended up losing C-2 in her neck and having C5 and 6 fused....anyhoo..

24 hours out we were hearing the worst case scenario, I had friends who had pretty much put her in the grave.

Well well today was pretty cool. I was at a lunch meeting...and SHE WALKED IN!!! Stiff, sore and still learning how to move again...BUT WALKING!!!! So hope this makes someone's day. I am so greatful.”
