While we were "making the rounds" socializing, the damned waiters took all our food off the table and threw it away.” 11:39:54 AM 10/11/02 “How long have/were you married? "Mrs. Stump and I are celebrating our 15th today! (We married later in life.) How long have you been or were you married? (Unscientific poll.)" stumprider 05:36:22 PM 10/10/02 What a coinkydink! Mother Goose and I officially ceased living in sin on 10/10/87. Got married in Gulf Shores, Al at the 16th Annual Shrimp Festival.” 11:49:34 AM 10/11/02 married for 3 sweet years “lived in sin for 6 freaky years” 12:39:22 PM 10/11/02 “Looks like I got the record. Honey bring me a beer, lets celebrate!” 1:20:45 PM 10/11/02 “20 years toegather 17 married.. to my best friend.. We have worked togeather for at least 13 years.. thats what happens when you own your own business.. it ownes you...” 1:29:10 PM 10/11/02 “mouse, did you find it hard to work together at first? I would love to do that with my husband. what kind of biz?” 1:40:28 PM 10/11/02 Work together? “For better or worse, but not for lunch.” 1:46:21 PM 10/11/02 “First time, 8 years, four months (separated at six years 9 months, just took a year to figger out we wouldn't be getting back together) This time around, coming up on the two year anniversary of meeting my wife (Oct 20). Where we met Two year wedding anniversary is Jan 20 (pic) Oh yeah, for those who have arrived in the year and a half since I changed handles, Marmot = SARBoy Newgirl, don't worry about finding a guy. When I met my wife, neither of us was 1) looking for a relationship or 2) ever planning on getting married (her ever, me again). Sometimes things just happen.” 2:30:16 PM 10/11/02 “Newgirl - Did you notice Marmot's pics? There were two TT marriages represented in the group pic (also Nomad & Meerkat). As a statistician, I would say your chances of finding a cool, single, Sean Connery look-alike guy increase dramatically with the number of TT outings you go on.” 3:38:55 PM 10/11/02 “Newgirl, don't get depressed. I was married for 5 years and then single for 12 years before I got married again. I say, hold out until you get exactly what you want the first time! It'll save you a lot of heartache in the long run.” 3:53:00 PM 10/11/02 “Newgirl, you just need a man who can help you forget the weight of the world on your shoulders. Someone who can take some of that weight, tie a helium baloon to it, and skip merrily with you down the trail of life while listening to Tool on a walkman built for two. You heard it here first.” 4:04:53 PM 10/11/02 “Phil, thanks for figuring out the stats for me! LOL! Ultra, you little stalker troll, you're too cute. I'm actaully not too worried guys. I think I'm squared away for now. Thanks though.” 4:12:56 PM 10/11/02 “Married for 18.5 years. I married my highschool sweetheart and have been happy ever since. I made a statement on the sipsey trip that in all of our married life my wife and I had never had an argument. Some there couldn't believe this, but its true. I must say she deserves the credit for this. I have been blessed to find such a companion. BAMA” 4:37:30 PM 10/11/02 Mapleleaf “yes it is very hard to work togeather and live togeather.. we have had a period of "adjustment" when we first started working togeather.. but once the rules are set, than no problem. We started out with a auto repair shop, which i am a mechanic also, than added towing to it.. so i usually do the paperwork and some shop work, but mostly towing.. Its pretty cool.. So really we are not always togeather all the time... which im sure is a blessing, but you cannot take any work related problems home.. this is a must for any relationship. thank you for asking.” 4:41:09 PM 10/11/02 “Newgirl, you don't need any of these stinky Trail Talk bums who come out of the woods looking like animals. You need a WANKER, that's all. Go with the 100% sure thing, don't take any chances. Yeeaa-aaahhhhh, baaaaaay-beeeeeeee girrrrrrrrrrrlllliiie, that's the ticket !” 5:19:41 PM 10/11/02 “Wanker, there would be no 'baaaaabeeee girrrlllliiieee' crap. Believe me, you would weep at my feet and learn to say thank you in seven languages. LOL! Yeah, I know I shouldn't feed the trolls. But he's driving me nuts w/ all his crap.” 5:23:41 PM 10/11/02 The least eligible bachelor “I was married for 9 years about 13 years ago.” 5:26:28 PM 10/11/02 “4 months, 10 days, 22.5 hours” 5:30:56 PM 10/11/02 “Man is this dude, whipped :-)” 5:35:49 PM 10/11/02 “but who's counting, eh reptiles!” 5:37:35 PM 10/11/02 “22 years as of June. Wow, what a long strange trip it's been. My second Tight wad Bob's err Honey's first. Two adult kids and five fur babies.” 9:29:58 PM 10/11/02 Fur baby “Mmmm furry Pamster... Sorry, never mind” 9:36:28 PM 10/11/02 “You is one sick puppy bacpac. I like that in a man;O)” 9:43:30 PM 10/11/02 “Mrs Coop and I have been married 9 years. Time just seems to fly. Approaching a third of my total lifetime with her.” 7:49:32 AM 10/12/02 “Pamster are you stalking bacbac? lol” 1:18:31 PM 10/12/02 “12 years in January. Gets better every year and now that we're finally parents it's never a dull moment.” 9:18:14 PM 10/12/02 “34 years, four kids, three grandkids, most of it great, some of it tough, and all of it hard work” 1:13:45 PM 10/13/02 “10 3/4 yrs. the first time. A two-year breather (hmmm, actually it felt like I couldn't breathe at all...), finally gave up worrying about it and, voila, along comes Reino. Both of us swore we'd never get married again, then we did of course, in '92 -- but we did it on Leap Year Day so we wouldn't have to think about it every year, only quadrennials for us, lol. So 12 years together, 10 years married this time around.” 8:58:33 AM 10/14/02 How Long Married? “Fifty two (52) years August 26..” 9:28:38 AM 10/14/02 “Up to 14 last week, only seems like 52.” 8:01:55 AM 10/15/02 72 Tahoe “really? that is so cool. good for you both!!” 9:06:41 AM 10/15/02 “Sixteen years this past August, on the day that also happens to be my birthday. I just got back from Maine and Hubby had to go off this morning on a business trip, so I'm planning an anniversary celebration that is off the calendar. Boy will he be surprised! We really haven't celebrated our anniversary in ages due to various circumstances, like his relatives hovering around. So this will be neat. Is Hubby my soul mate, best friend, etc.? Nah, we are pretty different. But we have had a good sixteen years, have two terrific kids, don't fight much, and I hope it continues for many more years.” 11:28:06 AM 10/15/02 “Married 46 years, 3 kids, 7 grandkids and first great-grandchild coming in January” 12:05:26 PM 10/15/02
