What is it with some people?

For Years my sister told the story of how she ALMOST saw Hendrix in Jacksonville (c. 1968 or 9). Now when she tells the story, she says she DID see him, LOL. I think she's actually convinced herself that she did. I fight the urge to ask if he was right of left-handed.

Pretty Screwball if you ask me...

Strat - was Howe with yes, when you saw them? I'd say you've seen some of the best guitar men alive. I've got that album that McLaughlin and Demiola did, with Paco DeLucia.... totally unreal!!

I don't want to go back and read the lists, but has anybody seen Primus? Wow! I bet you feel like a freak after you watch them. Cool!

Also, are we allowed to count little bands. I've seen 2 or 3 little, unknown bands in bars and I saw these two guys (one plays the guitar, one plays the ELECTRIC violin) that were awesome. I've also seen my friend, Ben's, band in their living room, in my living room, and finally at a hotel. Do they count?

One to adc, sorta:

Tommy Makem (I heard him warm up after interviewing him, then had to leave because the SOB who promoted the concert had sold the seat that had been reserved for me. Tommy was fantastic though.)

Cat Stevens did in fact become a Muslim and has made strident anti-American statements. If you bought his albums, you contributed to the cause because he has funded Islamic causes heavily with the riches he gained through singing. Comes from being followed by moon shadows, I guess. I still like the music.

Connells, man, I have one of their albums that was sent for a review that never appeared. I didn't get into it and never realized anybody listened to them.

And somebody mentioned Cowboy Junkies. Margo does have a sexy voice!

Obsessive compulsive?...maybe! A few years ago I went through all my concert tickets and put them in an Excel file according to date and year, and add each additional concert as I go.

Omegawd...you saw Angel? I have the Angel self-titled album with the song "Tower" on it. I loved that album when I was young but haven't listened to it in ...decades???

I never had the good fortune to see Metheny, although I always liked him. Used his music on lots of my early jazz radio shows. As far as guitar playing goes, hard to compare him with Angus. The music they play is so different. I always have trouble comparing apples and oranges (so to speak).
