BM, I saw Captain and tenille at a football game, they were the halftime show at a Michigan Panthers game, from back in the old USFL...

My tastes are still pretty broad, I love bluegrass too and neglected to list all the shows I've seen...

Best live show ever was Bad Religion. It was right after the feds killed the Davidians at waco and they had a song written about the davidians (man on a mission). I saw the show in Dallas, maybe 45min from the site of the killings.

Gotta add a new one...
Part of Maple's birthday present was last night's addition. A true rock and roll legend. Although I saw Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1969, I have to put a separate entry to John Fogerty. We saw him at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan last night. This guy is still amazing! What an unforgettable show...

Rahsaan Roland Kirk (August 7, 1936 - December 5, 1977) was a blind American jazz multi-instrumentalist, playing tenor saxophone, flute and other reed instruments. He was perhaps best known for his vitality on stage, where virtuoso improvisation was accompanied by comic banter, political ranting and his famous ability to play a number of instruments simultaneously.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rahsaan_Roland_Kirk

I saw Kirk at Blues Alley in D.C. at some point between his stroke and his death.
Even without full use of one of his arms he was amazing.

Nigal, the Heads were one of the most high energy bands I've ever seen. Amazing shows! The movie, "Stop Making Sense" is a pretty good one and captures some of what they are like in concert. Of course, it is hard to capture that type of intensity in a movie. But this one does a good job...
