Sheeyat 13fist... where were you when I was booking my flight to Albuqurque Wed. the 16?? And I'm just across the Mississippi, in Iowa.

I did a 2-week trip to Utah coupleyears back. Hit stuff like Monument Rocks in western Kansas (yes, that's off I-70); Colorado Springs; could easily have done Great Sand Dunes Nt'l Park, but didn't; Mesa Verde....

Don't know what part of NM you're going to, but I was just researching the drive to NM. I'll be in Albq area, like I said. Want to see Bandelier, the Indian pueblos, trek some along the Rio Grande.... hmmm... would love that train, too!! But prolly not enough free time for that. Since I'm traveling to lots of other stuff free. Moooooooooohahahah

I'm going to be in Badelier around the 15th or 16th. Then I'm going to northern NM around Angel Fire. The way down is all buisnes ,though, (Got to get the bikes to the team on time) but I'm taking the long way back through Arizona, Utah, and Colorodo then back up to WI. Should be pretty cool. Thanks for the Ideas guys. I'll look into the rail thing too...sounds cool.

Since I had no clue that this was about New Mexico, I didn't check this thread.

Bandelier is great.

You might want to check out Santa Fe Baldy, the leaves should still be nice.

Looks like there will be a rendevous of TT'ers and another board at the Upper Sandia Peak Tram Terminal on Sunday 10/20 at 6pm or shortly thereafter.

Try and get breakfast or lunch at Tesuque Village Market. You'll will see the turn off if you drive between Santa Fe and Los Alamos to get to Bandelier.

Shidoni Foundry and sculpture exhibit are in nearby Pojaque.

Plenty of hiking around Taos and Red River.

Are you planning on MTBing too? Lots of places to go.

BTW, when and where are the Nationals? That might be fun to go see.

And when is Prowler there?

Also, I'll have most of day free Monday, Oct. 21. Flying out around 5 p.m. Pathy, can ya take an extra day off? Call in sick after the big hike? LOL!!

I'm off Mon and Tues, but still in the mountains.

Prowler is going to be here in that same time frame, I think.
