“I had my last rehab session this afternoon. They had wanted me to go longer, but I had to pull the plug. I will do rehab exercises at home and on the trail, slowly, surely, and gradually.

I'm taking myself off the TT Injured Reserve List to make room for Cpl. Nasty when he screws himself up good in the Cats or when he gets home and encounters more bedposts and broomsticks, Maple who is an insurance claim form looking for something to fill in the blanks, or Snow Nymph when she comes back from the slopes chewing up tree bark and spitting out sawdust.”

“K....I'm officially outta here!!! :) Doc says to slowly work my way up to 45 min, at low resistance but high repetitions on the bike and/or cross trainer to strenghten the muscles around the knee joint. Already at 20 min. Been sking twice so far, the first time the knee didn't get sore till afternoon and this weekend it didn't till allmost the end of the day and I skiied some blacks and double black diamond trails!!! Too exciting!!!! Whoa!!!”

I put a 2 inch slice in my left pinky requiring 8 stiches. I also severed 1 of the nerves to my finger tip so I have permanently lost all feeling on one side. Lots of blood and pain, just the perfect way to start a weekend!

Doc said I have to keep it clean warm and dry for the next two weeks...so no hiking :{”

“yeah I was getting ready to go when it happened. Since I cut a large vein the circulation is kinda messed up so my pinky will frostbite very easily I guess. I did say it was a rather bloody mess didnt I?

“Very sorry to hear that, DOM. Be very careful to let it heal properly, because it can be a lot more painful otherwise, as a friend of mine with a rotary cutter learned. And yes, LOL, you need a cabana girl to do for you, take out an ad quick!”
