Finally see what the heck's going on! Wish me luck.” 1:24:16 PM 2/18/05 “Hope that it is nothing much, Tango.” 1:27:30 PM 2/18/05 “Fingers still crossed.” 1:29:20 PM 2/18/05 “sending good thoughts down south!” 1:30:14 PM 2/18/05 “south to Fla that is” 1:34:42 PM 2/18/05 “Oh, like the rest of us don't need your good thoughts. Fine.” 1:37:18 PM 2/18/05 “LOL no I was just thinking that it sounded like South of the Boarder (ok this part is for bit only, south meaning croch area)area.” 1:38:34 PM 2/18/05 “Why would mapleleaf be sending good thoughts to my crotch?” 1:40:09 PM 2/18/05 “GROAN” 1:40:51 PM 2/18/05 “OK so that was mean. I'm sorry. last edited: 2/18/05 1:44:34 PM” 1:42:01 PM 2/18/05 “no I was just groaning at the thought of your croch. (Insert rim shot here)” 1:46:19 PM 2/18/05 rim shot “stand by to repel boarders last edited: 2/18/05 1:49:03 PM” 1:46:56 PM 2/18/05 “I'm tellin' treebeard on you!” 1:47:50 PM 2/18/05 “ ”1:49:23 PM 2/18/05 “your all just whacky tacky peeps” 1:50:08 PM 2/18/05 Wishing You The Best “Hoping it's nothing serious and you're up and running soon!” 7:08:34 PM 2/18/05 “Im still down and out! and aint comin back!” 9:42:56 PM 2/18/05 Prowler... “can you float, or is that out too?” 10:54:02 PM 2/18/05 “Does your dog have a D_ck?” 7:06:31 AM 2/19/05 “Sorry to hear that, Prowler.” 7:28:37 AM 2/19/05 Reporting “Reporting as required. One of you must have breathed into the speakers on my computer, as I now have the creeping crud. There goes dinner at a friend's home. Drat. She's a pretty good cook. :-(” 11:30:33 AM 2/19/05 “CM, everyone around here has the cough that won't go away. I've had it for 3 weeks now, so have most of my neighbors, most of my vet's office personnel, nearly everyone who works at the grocery stores (many must now wear masks; like that helps much.) I just keep taking expectorant to get all the phlegm out. Blech.” 11:58:39 AM 2/19/05 “Thanks for all of your good thoughts. I am crossing my fingers too. And I'm sending good thoughts to all of my fellow IR TT'rs! ” 12:02:01 PM 2/19/05 “Hey Tango, Hope it all works out for you. Guess you won't be playing hockey anytime soon, but hang in there. Seems like we've all got to spend time on this friggin list.” 12:14:55 PM 2/19/05 “"no I was just thinking that it sounded like South of the Boarder (ok this part is for bit only, south meaning croch area)area.” mapleleaf 1:38:34 PM 2/18/05 Boarder? ...as in snow boarder?” 6:17:22 PM 2/19/05 “Ah... Butt Pirates and the Creeping Crud. I sure have missed this place. Get Well Soon, Tango --- I'm still on the mend , m'self.” 1:31:59 PM 2/20/05 “Tango, Good luck. My heart bleeds for you. I've been pretty much out of commission since last August and I can tell you first hand....it sucks!! I hope everything works out OK and you feel well soon.” 6:58:30 PM 2/20/05 “treebait-- try using a humidifier and see if it helps. I had a chronic cough 2 winters ago-- it turns out my new office was too dry and dusty and I almost lost my voice for a week... Got a humidifier and haven't been sick since!” 10:01:44 PM 2/20/05 “As directed, I am reporting to this thread. Having surgery on right elbow on April 11th. Will be in cast for two weeks. Will be off work for another 6-8 weeks trying to re-use what they cut open. Medial epicondylitis...golfer's elbow...I have never golfed in my life. But, I got infected from it somehow.” 2:31:55 PM 2/23/05 “Did you watch it on TV? Wow sorry to hear that. Hope all goes well with the surgery and your recoup.” 11:36:41 PM 2/24/05 “LOL@Tango! No, but I used to listen to the guys at work tell me how they all could have had a hole in one had some darn flag not been in the way...this after tracking down the beer cart at each hole!” 6:42:41 AM 2/25/05 Wolfeyes “Trouble with your funny bone, eh! <Insert joke here.> Are you taking any antiinflammatory medications? I looked at Golfer's Elbow and found: "The tendons that attach to the medial epicondyle are split to reveal the scar tissue. This scar tissue is removed. It takes about 3 weeks to resume light activities and 3 months to resume heavy activities and sports." This does not sound like fun, so good luck with it. I feel for you. Recently, I spent two hours learning to use my new key ring as a weapon, a Kubotan. From all the swinging of my arms in practicing strikes with it, I earned some pains in an elbow. It worried me, but after three weeks, it finally ceased bothering me.” 8:16:38 AM 2/25/05 “Hang in there Wolfie. Hopefully they'll correct the problem and after R&R you'll be good as new. Did you get that email I sent you?” 8:24:01 AM 2/25/05 “Nowslimmer, this is the third year for this injury. I have had pysical therapy and cortisone shots. I have been off work three times for extended periods of time...this time being the fourth. I do not have a desk job and use a lot of hand tools. Funny thing is is that it is the simple things that are hard to do. Like taking the lid off of a jar...picking up my dog's bowl to put water in it...talking on the phone with the elbow bent for awhile...playing those video games at a console in a bar...wiping off the counter...I can pinch but it is painful to pinch and then pull...weird injury. I have calcium built up on bone they will scrape off then cut bad part of tendon off, and stretch good tendon back, staple to bone, drill two holes for blood to circulate to area, and be in cast for two weeks. After that, doctor says that my physical therapy for awhile will be to just come home and try to do normal activites...like wiping my arse!!!” 8:27:19 AM 2/25/05 “I folded my ankle over last weekend on the Florida Trail at Olustee. High sprain. I'm still limping a bit. Ah well, I'll be good for my next hike in three weeks.” 8:29:21 AM 2/25/05 “humanpackmule - How'd do that on sandy trails? ___going over a downed tree trunk or what? Did you stop at the reenactment? I wanted to go, but used my daughter's hospitalization as an excuse.” 9:08:09 AM 2/25/05 “I just have tendency to roll my ankles. Just cruizing along and boom. Folded. Dunno I just do that sometimes. We stopped at the reenactment and the new boys saw the battle but I left early. I'm not overly fond of the Osceola section, I've done it too many times and that weekend is too crowded with idiots anymore. Basicly I went so the boys wouldn't miss out on a backpacking trip. Too few adults committed to go.” 9:28:21 AM 2/25/05 “It was Psycho that caused the injury, right? That's what you get for taking that damned rodent in.” 9:51:54 AM 2/25/05 “"I just have tendency to roll my ankles. Just cruizing along and boom. Folded. Dunno I just do that sometimes" Hpm-have you injured your ankle in the past?years ago some doofus ran over my foot (bent the ankle 90 degrees sideways)with a pallet jack loaded with about 1500lbs of stuff.it didnt break anything and it only hurt for a few days but the doc said it stretched the cartilage out so far that it couldnt snap back the way it should.ever since ive had problems with twisted ankles.its just a good thing my ankles are still as flexible as they are! Wolfeyes-good luck with your recovery!! I guess i should have reported to this site too.not sure yet but i still think theres a good chance they will operate on my shoulder.” 10:25:35 AM 2/26/05 the pain in my knee “well i made an appointment after i came back from the ocala trip to see the ortho doc. well that thursday i was heading down the steps on my way to work and my knee gave out and down i went on my bottom. oh the pain!! i had to crawl back upstairs and get my son to help my back down(thank goodness my trekking pole was by the front door. ended up having my mri on friday and saw the doc on monday. i have two small tears in the meniscus. so i'm still on meds and they are hoping it will ease up in a couple of weeks. so we will see, i really don't want to go through surgery.” 7:02:51 PM 2/28/05 “I wish you all the luck. I hope you don't need surgery.” 9:56:02 PM 2/28/05 “cyndeee - Good luck. I, too, hope things heal for you without surgery. I know the feeling of a knee going out. It's not nice. I find myself walking extra steps to use ramps instead of steps, even just a small curb.” 10:08:57 PM 2/28/05 “(crying) Tuesday 1:30 am I woke up with severe pain in my lower back.....as the week progressed, it hurt more and more......so..I went to the DR..... I damged my lower back and hip ....and I have degenerative arthritis...... If I did it backpacking this weekend, why didn't it hurt earlier???? ok..ok...I am a baby.....it hurts....( and I had 3 kids naturally) and I don't get to backpack until further notice......(crying)” 4:57:37 PM 3/02/05 “You've had it for a while if its degenerative. You only aggrevated it this weekend. I have the same thing in my knee.” 5:02:12 PM 3/02/05 “P.S. get well soon :~)” 5:02:39 PM 3/02/05 “Damn div, that's something to cry about. Cry all you need to. Sorry to hear it.” 5:29:13 PM 3/02/05 “How 'bout a second opinion? And did the doctor give you any medication for your pain? Something does not sound right. I'm sorry about your suffering. Hugs.” 5:30:49 PM 3/02/05 “yes...he gave me lorcets and I am allergic to tylenol....grrrrrrr” 5:50:08 PM 3/02/05 “ack! i don't wanna be in here! three days complete bed rest. three weeks limited standing & walking. no work for up to six weeks! it's only day two and i'm bored already.” 11:54:18 AM 3/03/05 “that no work thing ain't so bad...” 7:46:32 PM 3/03/05 Jump to Page << prev
